Hello,
I sold an item and I need the buyer's email for the carrier (international shipping). Of course, the "encrypted" one in the format XXX@members.ebay.com will do.
However, I don't have it listed with the buyer after payment, only an address and phone number.
I can send a message to the buyer, when he replies, the correct address will be shown in the email. But this is not a solution, if the buyer doesn't reply, I have no way to generate a shipping label, or I have to give some fake email.
Does anyone have a solution? Thanks

Normally I see the following on an order:
But, you don't seem to have the drop down. So what I would try is "Contact buyer" and select the option to send a copy to your email and I wouldn't be surprised if it shows you the email alias you are looking for even if they don't reply right away.

contact the buyer through email using their "Buyer Alias Email Address" which you can find in the View order details page

I don't see any email in the order details, not even the @members.ebay.com one...

If you open the order on PC not phone/APP
On the right side there is a toggle 'Show Contact info'
Sorry for ping but you might know. I checked this and the one I checked showed the actual buyers email. Not an alias email. Do you know why sometimes it gives you actual email ? I never have used the email and never noticed this.
I just thought eBay always removed the buyers actual email.

It's not supposed to @robbie31415 - short answer is that's a bug. Were you looking at an order that was just placed? That's when I will most often see the real email.

It's been a few hours. Over 2 when I first posted from when order placed.
Now it's been like 6+ hours and the actual email still there.
I've gotten orders after it that shows an eBay members email address.

Yeah, occasionally I have orders where the real email sticks through the lifetime of the order, it's just that most often I will see it appear immediately then disappear within a short while (like an hour). It's a bug and I usually ignore it.

You are allowed to exchange contact information for two weeks after a paid transaction. Just message them thru eBay and ask for it. The temporary eMail eBay provides will disappear from the on-line Order Details after two weeks. Even if you saved the temporary eMail I do not know if it can still be used after the two weeks. After 90 days their address and phone number will have disappear from the on-line Order Details.
Save a copy of the Order Details now, before the information disappears on it. This is especially important since it is an international order. You may need the information later to complete the delivery.
