Currently my account is below standard and my account was hit with selling restrictions do to claims of defective items. Based on my calculations I came to the conclusion that it is almost impossible for me to reach those goals as long as ebay wont allow me to list more items, edit current listings, or promote current listings. I called customer service and they were no help, just kept repeating the same line of the script over and over. I really try to do good business and most of the flaws towards my account were a result to this past holiday season during covid where I had alot of items that were never delivered because of the problems with the usps. Any help and suggestions are welcome. Thank you.

I think this is going into the 3rd month. It all started this past holiday season when I had a bunch of packages that were lost in the mail and got a bunch of unresolved cases and had to issue a ton of refunds. Then I got an item not described case because someone ordered the wrong item on their own and even admitted it to me in the messages. Since going below standard I have still been selling items and getting positive feed back an was on the right track to getting back to normal. Then I found out that the manufacturer of a particular item I sold put the wrong item in the box so I had to cancel the orders and explain to the customers why, that knocked me back again. Then finally they put listing restrictions on my account and now I cant even edit listings as I stated before.

I don't understand it either.

Gosh - wish you had popped in here when you first dropped down. If this is the 3rd month and you cannot revise, list, amend, etc....
Bumping this back up for you. I am out of suggestions. When you are this far into it, not certain how to stave off the cliffside rushing up on you. The 20th will be here all too soon.

The best way to resolve such unusual dilemmas is to speak to the right Ebay rep.
For instance, last year we were shut out of our Ebay account due to a complicated glitch. We called multiple times every day for five days until we finally found an expert yet low level employee who was able to help.

You could try contacting Ebay for Business on Facebook.......read/follow the rules on posting. Also be ready to tell them how you plan to "correct" the problems you've had in the past....

Yea its very unfortunate because business was still doing good and I continued to receive positive feedback. Yes the 20th will be here soon and that was one of my issues with the ebay rep. I don't understand how you can expect me to improve my standard if you restrict my account and prevents me from offering the best service I can. Thanks for everyone's help and suggestions, I guess I'll just have to wait it out unfortunately.

You state you had a bunch of packages that were lost and got a bunch of unresolved cases and had to refund. Did eBay step in to refund resulting in you getting defects or did you refund them yourself?

@themightybrick83 - Here is the link, message them on Facebook as @dhbookds suggests. (Have a plan though - be prepared/ready to tell him specifically how you will work to remedy this situation and you really appreciate/need this opportunity, etc)/
