Im so angry right now I cant see straight! I had a small technical issue with a new thermal printer. I just needed to get the labels to face up & down, they were printing side ways. I bought over 8 labels for orders and printed them out . I just needed a simple tech answer. The agent I got was a TOTAL NUTCASE. Jan ( her name) said there is a "worldwide bug" attacking all shopping sites and not allowing anyone to print labels anywhere so I should buy my labels directly in the post office store in person instead of online. I am not kidding!!! --- I HAVE CHAT TRANSCRIPT TO PROVE THIS ---She then WITHOUT TELLING ME or ASKING ME, CANCELLED ALL OF MY LABELS THAT I PAID FOR & supposedly refunded me. I did not ask her nor did I need to do that. I told her she was misinformed about this "pandemic" she claims. I continued printing my thermal labels with success now because the problem fixed itself from the main ship label page but I was totally unaware of what she did. Only after wasting all of my thermal labels that cost A LOT of money ,she said my money will be refunded. I said WHAT MONEY???
That is when she told me she canceled my orders. ALL OF THEM. I kept asking for a manager but she hung up on. me.
No, I was not rude. I was stunned. The next lady was not crazy but tried to cover up for Jan.
Canceling my labels WITHOUT MY PERMISSION & NOT TELLING ME , has got to be a firing offense. I mean and then to make up this pandemic crap??? Where do they find these people?
She needs to have a complaint brought on her. I am out all of my thermal labels I had to trash not to mention the time I am out. My orders will now be a day late because of this nut bag!
Is there any way to talk to a real manager when you need one? They would not give me anyone else.
I have never had anything like this happen before. Usually it's pretty easy & they are polite & helpful but not today.

sounds like much of this was miscommunication built-in to the chat format..
also my experience the agents are running multiple sessions at once-not just ebay but all the chat folks

That's what happens when a CSR is faced with an issue that is not really anything to do with eBay. They go off-script to reply with answers that do not apply.
Sounds like that CSR was really trying to be as helpful as possible, but did not understand your issue.
Seems like it is going to work out. Sorry to hear that you were stressed.

I would take that chat scan and upload it to the ebay for business page on Facebook.

I think (in this case) the CS person is taking a lot of undeserved heat. And to report her is wrong, IMO.
OP called with a non-ebay problem with a printer and expected customer service to be able to help. Not being able to offer tech support for a printer, CS did the next best thing (in her mind) by voiding the labels that the OP claimed wouldn't print properly. The CS person did her best with something that wasn't part of her job description. In voiding the labels, she was doing what she thought the OP wanted which was to not have to pay for labels she couldn't use!
I'm having trouble understanding why the OP went off the rails.

Representative of any company should ask before taking an action on someone's account that they haven't already directly asked for. A simple, "I can void the labels for you, would you like me to do that?" would have been great here. (That said, I don't think that I would have become this upset at the rep, just saying I kind of get it.)

I didn't think ebay had the ability to cancel shipping labels for a seller.
That sounds like something the SELLER should be responsible to do.

When I have a printer problem, I call my friend's 17 year old son.
The kid is a whiz with anything computer related.

For future reference when having printer problems, you don't need to cancel your labels:
Method 1:
Check your label history and reprint the label after your printer issues are resolved. You can reprint for at least a day- but option to reprint will go away.
Track and manage your shipments (ebay.com)
Method 2:
Save label pdf (if one is created) before printing Or print to pdf before printing label. Click and print saved PDF label file after printer issues are resolved.

That's crazy....suddenly about a week ago all my ebay labels are off centered and are cut off on the edge where my store name and address is , I have no problems on my other stores, with printing the labels, just on Ebay. I have been going crazy trying to figure out why this is happening

Is the preview displaying exactly how it prints? or does the preview show the "off-center" label?
If the preview shows the label error, then try downloading and opening in a .pdf editor and see if the improper alignment is still there. If it is not, there is something awry in your browser viewer (this happened with my firefox)....a section around the top left symbol would simply not print...like a blank white square where the F symbol is on a 1st Class Label...i switched browsers and it was fine...I downloaded to the Adobe .pdf viewer and it was fine.
just throwing things out there for you.....
(oh...the OP...if it is like my old one, it is a simple orientation setting)

So why did you even call CS if you did not want the labels cancelled and to start over printing new labels. You think the person should be fired because you did not print labels in the correct orientation. OK

Sounds like the margins are not set proper or perhaps the wrong paper format is being used in the pop up dialog or both. Do you print to 8 1/2" x 11" standard copier paper?

I agree...
If all else fails, unplug the printer from the computer (if applicable) and delete it from the list of available printers. Then reboot, plug in the printer and let the computer discover it all over again as a new device. It will set up the print queue with default values, and most likely get you back to where you were.

I purchased hundreds of items from a seller in May that were due to arrive starting June 10th. The seller created shipping labels and provided false tracking numbers and failed to ship any of my items. I went to the post office and spent a considerable amount of time investigating details. I researched ebay money back guarantee prior to purchase due to the ebay offers to me from the seller seemed too good to be true.
Ebay kept sending me offers and I accepted. Nothing arrived. 40 items per invoice and although nothing was sent, I had to file individual refund requests for each of the hundreds and hundreds of items.
Each case was found in my favor.
Ebay issued me partial refunds.
This has happened to me twice prior with large orders a seller failed to send.
When I attempt to contact the seller, never a response.
Customer service representatives ask me to give them each item number each time I call to inquire about why between $18.00-$30.00 of my money isn't returned on each invoice. I am told the problem will be corrected. I can expect my full refund in a couple days. Nothing happens. I can't respond to the open cases. I get a message stating the case is pending eBay response. I call back in a couple days and I again am required to provide a full list of item numbers and explain the entire situation again.
I'm told it is now processed. I am relieved. Nothing happens.
Pending eBay response, .. my open cases are closed, noo refund.
June 12th the cases were found in my favor. I have to go through hundreds and hundreds of items in my purchase history to check each item on each invoice to have ready when I call to ask for my money to be returned. I spend and hour or more, each call just going over the items I'm requesting again. I get no answer as to what is ebay responding to if the case was already settled and waiting on completion of my refund. I have had this happen that ebay doesn't respond, or return my money. When I received partial refunds, I made a decision I was going to follow policy and procedure by the book and stay on top of actively seeking Mt money being returned. I have now had 3 supervisors promise me I'd be receiving an instant credit to my PayPal account in the amount of $212.48i that they had just processed it and it would be in my account that day, guaranteed.
July 13th i was guaranteed it again.
Today, ive spent hours on the phone with customer service representatives giving all my item numbers again. No refund.
Iive never been treated so horribly especially when being stolen from. Customer service stalls until the guarantee is no loner good and i regret i find myself out $212.48 and over a month of coutless hours trying not to loose my money for nothing.forr the third time. I i cant comprehend how badly i was treated today. I am so frustrated and insulted eBay response

Hi @homcc-33
Very sorry to hear of your refund nightmare.
First, before this thread gets shut down, you might consider starting a new thread. This one is months old and mods will usually close them down. It can get confusing when folks think they are speaking to the original poster and don’t notice your current addition to the conversation.
Next, go to the US-based, trained customer service agents on eBay’s Facebook for Business page. Leave them a private message with a brief description of the problem. They have the genuine authority to help solve your issues. The numbers you are calling now, with the empty promises will get you nowhere.
Good luck and hope this gets resolved soon.
