How do I calculate the Shipping Costs using EIS to an international customer

If I use the new eBay International Shipping, how do I calculate the cost to ship to France?  I'm trying to figure out how much I need to charge the buyer over the flat rate I charge to anywhere in the US.  Thank you for your help.

How do I calculate the Shipping Costs using EIS to an international customer

Nothing is checked - the only difference in the one you show and the one I have is the top comment "Expand your reach.... "  This is what my page looks like

About the only other reason you don't have the EIS option would be for one of the reason's ebooksdiva noted. Check your seller ratings to see if there are any issues. If everything looks good this may be a technical issue that you need to contact eBay about. I would suggest going through one of the social media contact methods.

@ricmi-7260 You do not (can not) invoice an eIS purchase buyer. You have no way of knowing what that charge will be

eBay determines that portion of the shipping.

buyer just pays you for the item, and the flat shipping that you have.

You don't calculate it. They pay ebay for the total amount. Ebay pays you for the item and whatever your domestic shipping cost is. You ship the item to ebay's hub in the USA. You have nothing to do with the international shipping.

You set the price for the item and the price for domestic shipping.

Example:

$50 widget + $10 domestic shipping.

You're going to ship it to ebay's EIS hub located in the US.

Ebay will charge the customer the extra for the international  shipping.

Let's say ebay charges $22 for the international shipping,

the buyer will have to pay $50 + $10 + $22 = $82.

If your buyer wants to know what that extra ebay charge will be, have them put it in their cart and try to check out.  It should tell your buyer what ebay will charge for international shipping.

There is no way for you to know in advance what that charge will be.

As far as I know, you pay shipping to the hub. eBay will charge the additional shipping to France. You only need to know shipping prices to France if you are going to ship it there yourself.

It shows in the listing too (when you look at the listing for your shipping charges), however it's just an "estimate" because duties and taxes are assessed at checkout. For instance bidding on an auction will have one shipping amount, but as the auction increases in price, the shipping amount also increases because part of it is duties/taxes.

Just set your shipping as your normally would -- either flat or calculated.

eBay will do the rest. It's so easy.

The seller has to enable EIS and then change his location to France to see what a French buyer will pay. I change my destination all the time to confirm what international buyers see.

If EIS is not enabled, there's no international shipping for that listing (as of yet).

Thank you all for your help.  How do I make sure that I am signed up for the new EIS program?  I definitely want to use the EIS program but want to make sure I am set up for it and that is what is used when the buyer from France orders the item.
