I am a slow lister, really slow. I do not have turbo lister and apparently can no longer sign up for it. I would like to be able to create drafts at my own pace, off line. I would only be using a PC. I do not like to work from a phone becasue of vision issues. Nothing fancy, I like to keep things simple. I would just like to be able to start a listing, using a template, add photos later, sometimes months later and descriptions at another time. So I need the drafts to never expire. It would be nice to be able to have a third party be able to access them without using my ebay ID, but not necessary. I have done a search of the boards, but most of the posts are quite old, so I am not sure any of those options are still viable. I would really appreciate some suggestions. Thank you.

I don't use a template. I use Notepad.
I put the category in it, the price
my exact Title, etc
and my description
It's easy to transfer it later.

I write all my listings in Miscrosoft Word. Every word of the listing, what it cost, the date of purchase and the weight and shiping choices.
Then I put that in a file with the items pictures and save them in an alphabetical file.
Every listing is copy and paste. It's fast, it's easy and free and I always have every detail I need.
Great Moms turn them off first.

I use a free program called “1rst page” (or maybe First Page - it’s been so long).
It is completely HTTPS:: and HTML programmed and many of the HTML codes are entered with a speedkey.
The big advantage is that you can see exactly what the finished page looks like and check to be sure any links are working properly. Then I save it on my computer and just copy and paste when needed.

Google the words "download turbo lister" and you will get a couple of links.
I have not personally checked them out though. If you do download a program, make sure to run an anti-virus on it.
I love turbo lister. Yes, it's old and slow but it is FREE.
I do not use it for creating or for listing, but it's great for holding my descriptions - a rough sort of inventory system. Once I post my item on eBay, I sync TL (Turbo Lister) and it keeps a record.
Also, you should keep your original copies of your photos on your computer. I don't delete them until about 60 days after the sale - fingers crossed.
BTW - I received a survey from eBay asking for my ideas on improvements and at the end of the survey, they asked if I would be willing to pay betwen $4.99-$9.99. NO NO NO. I am working on a system where I won't have to relie on TL.

Try this link. Not 100% sure if it still works, but I used it about 6 months ago.

I create all my Descriptions in a text document and save them on my desktop in a folder.
I add the HTML coding (Just a colour background and some font and colour changes) as I type.
These are saved in a desk top folder.
I scan my items usually because they are flat (books and sewing patterns mostly). These are saved in another desktop folder.
When it is time to list, I pull out the descriptions and pictures and add Titles/ Item Specifics/ and Terms of Sale as I go.
When I am doing a bunch (like the eight patterns I just finished listing) some of the information loads automatically because I am using Sell Similar.
I wasn't really paying attention but the items I just listed took me about 30 minutes to list, including adding all the new information and some adjustments to pictures.
Because I have repeat titles and occasionally repeats of other items, I keep all my descriptions indefinitely. I have a few that I have kept since 2003 when I began this practice.
I used Auctiva at one time, but never found it any faster and occasionally something would disappear.
I have a Mac, so Turbo Lister is not an option. I use Open Office for my text documents.
Information about costs and source for an item are on a slip of paper inside it. And my bookkeeping is done in a paper ledger. (Well, really by Kate, the bookkeeper, but I just write down price/cost/ s&h charged/ postage cost/source/ weight/ shipping date and destination for her.)

I'm with femme except I use Windows. All descriptions kept in Word (almost forever.) All pix kept on a thumb drive (almost forever.) When ebay 'misplaces' listings or pictures easy to replace. I use Auctiva which also saves both (as a backup.) Easy, just copy and paste.
I don't understand why someone would depend on an unstable platform to save their work.
