How are you handling Buyer's Request to Cancel Order?

Only been a month and I've had three in 30 days cancel orders immediately, so they didn't ship out. They cost the seller money (ok it's only like 30 cents but still). Are you just accepting the request to cancel or do you ever decline? I normally don't even contact buyers that do this and just block them, but this last one I had finally had it. Reached out and told her basically, "mistake purchases" aren't an excuse and those mistakes cost us sellers money.
But seriously, how do you handle these? Just go with it and cancel and don't even slap their hand and make them feel like the inconsiderate me-me-me buyer that they are?

Except… eBay is a sales website- not a police state.
I have better things to do (politically, socially, advocacy-wise) than fight customers over a mere convention, and not a law or high level moral stance at all.
But hey, whatever floats your boat or fills your time

Maintaining one's professionalism when sorely tested is one way to handle it. Recriminations can complicate matters. So it is not really necessary to correct a buyer's behavior, even when the temptation is strong and understandable.

I just don't give them much of a chance. I used to wait until morning to print labels for previous day orders, but with sales as slow as they are, I ship throughout the day (and on Saturdays). I've had several orders where the buyer has asked to cancel after I printed the label, and I just tell them: "I'm so sorry, I would, but it's already on its way to you!"
Yes, they could open a return, and, yes, they could file a chargeback. Although none have yet, I still expect it to happen at some point, I'm just willing to take my chances.
This is probably a given, but I do want to add that simply printing the label isn't a good idea - this could leave you open to all kinds of issues. You've got to actually get it out the door the same day. Printing the label after they request to cancel is also a bad idea.
