exactly its all about money. I hate it when that happens because i dont like waiting a month or more to get my items or in some cases not getting them at all. Some sellers on here live in the US but have the items in china and they are shipped from there. I think they should have to desclose that in the listings.

Sometimes, there are no items that match your search criteria, and so eBay just presents best match ... sometimes China sellers lie about item location.

Re: How are Chinese sellers getting away with this ???

Sometimes sellers are registered in a country they do not reside in and use a POBox as an address.

Recently, I was searching for something and marked US Only.  I kept getting items that looked like they were non US.

I decided to look at a couple of the sellers.  Looked at feedback.  In the bottom of the upper box it said something to the effect that the seller was in India since 2016.  BUT they are registered as US sellers.  How does that work?

You CAN NOT rely on US Only to winnow out sellers.  Sadly, you have to go a step further.  You can not depend on ebay to do their job.

We dont get it either.  You can go out of your way to try to buy a item in the US and it still comes from china.  Best regards

Item location policy

Every Listing has a (Report Item) link if you so desire.

In the intrest of privacy ebay does not reveal actions they take against reported listings or sellers

This is a user to user board not eBay employees.

The way I see it.

In the intrest of $$$$$ ebay does not take actions against reported listings, sellers, and buyers.

Re: How are Chinese sellers getting away with this ???

What was the estimate for delivery? If you see that the estimated time for delivery is 30 days and they say they are in california-- you know it is a chinese seller manipulating the system. Any estimated shipping longer then 7 days would make me believe they are not in the US and therefore not buy from them.  So just because they list a US state, their long estimated shipping time gives them away. Look at the auction for an additional second and you will never be fooled again by the chinese.
