Honest answer, please. How many listings can "you" do in a day?

I work hard to get 20 or so listings done in a day.  Photo, crop photos, download them, and do listings. One one-of-a-type listings like jewelry or collectibles.  Yes, if the items are very similar I can do more. But, it takes a while to get them done.  I read where people claim to do 100/day, etc. How in the world?  I'm not scanning postcards here. I'm listing hard goods.  I put in a lot of hours, buying, cleaning, researching, answering offers, shipping, etc. Full days.  What's your story?  How does your workday go?

Anywhere from 2 or 3 up to a hundred or so. Too many variables to give a definitive answer.

Very similar to yours.  I get 10-15 completed per day on average.  The new item specifics really slow this down some.

Usually spend 1 day a week really focused on listing, but work a FT job + online sales.

Feel like I research items in my sleep. Variation listings take me a while also.

I'm lucky to do 5-10 a day, once 14 I think........  I tend to do as many photos as I can, cleaning as I go (which is NOT the best habit)...........  then try to marathon list......  Best advice on the boards has been to do all like tasks at a time........  Clean/photo/list.......and I agree with that, but I never quite get the cleaning totally done. 

That said, with hopes of listing more at a time, I'm not doing this for a living, so I do try not to beat myself up about it........and there are other "life" things that need to be done.......or that I want to do.

I do 50 listings a week and it takes me maybe 7-8 hours

I take my pictures the day before.........when  get up in the morning I write 10 listings........takes 1 hour

later in the day the pictures for the next day take 20 more minutes

shipping 40-50 packages will take me 3-4 hours going slow

my normal shipping packing speed is 18 an hour.most days its maybe 7-8 pieces.half an hour

IMHO your question contains the answer.

If you are listing one-of-a-type items that take a while to list, they are going to take a while to list.

If you are listings similar cookie-cutter items in the same category with the same item specifics that require one photos, they are going to take a few seconds to list. 

The people who can list 100 items a day are doing it when the list THEIR items, not when they list YOURS.

I don't have much of an ebay workday for volume, but usually it takes me 3-4 hours to push out anywhere from 25-50 listings when I get enough items piled up to make it worth the time to list.  Streamlining things help a lot, doing all the different jobs at once and not doing per item.  A lot depends on what the items are too, like the others have said.  Most are going to be pretty straight-forward so it takes maybe a minute to figure out what I've got, if even that if I've listed the same kind of item in the past.  

Of course, the "enough items piled up" is part of the problem as I really don't have enough volume going out to make it worth trying to obtain and list a whole lot more.

Listing coins are very easy to post. I can do 20-25 an hr if needed. My listing only take 3 minutes or less to post.  Most of the post is a copy and paste.

Between 10-100. Depends on the size of the items and the specifications needed. Records was 125.
