Help

I don't seem to be able to find any help with an issue

I have setting up a payment account, I think it is a problem

with the way the system is set up. Does anyone have an e-mail to contact a

real person? My issue isn't covered anyplace. I'm appalled I can't

talk to a real person, but maybe I am missing something.

There are people here who know just about everything about the managed payment system - you could always ask here.

well,

apparently, you can't use paypal for the payout anymore 😞

I try to add a current checking account, ok so far,

then the system requires me to enter the old checking "full" account

number to "verify it's me".

well, that account I haven't used for probably 20+ years, it is Looong

gone, no chance of finding it, I had always used paypal.

So I seem to be stuck.

It sounds like you'll need to set up a new checking account as paypal is not a bank.  You can set up a no-fee account. I know some people who use Chime, but there are others.

I don't think that is his issue....

I think somewhere in the system, eBay wants his *OLD* checking account number from 20 years ago which is ancient history. From what I am further understanding, he does have a checking account...just not the same one that ebay is looking for.

I use a Walmart green dot card as my payment method and it has worked just fine for years. It is a legitimate bank account with routing and account numbers.  You can order one on line or pick one up at Wally World.

OK, maybe I misunderstood as he said the account was history and he had just been using Paypal (maybe with a Paypal debit card, etc.) so figured that had been instead of a checking account.

Is there any chance that your Paypal account might still have that bank account listed as a funding source? (even if you never actually used it as such or were using a credit card instead more recently)

No, Pay Pal is no longer an option for sellers.

If that account is still open, contact the bank for the routing and account number.

If the account is closed, you'll have to open another checking account to use with Managed Payments.

Have a great day.

After you add the new checking account, can you delete the old one?  don't delete first.......

Other option is just to try to start a new account...............
