Re: Help with contacting

You should immediately activate the "Time away" option to put everything on hold while you figure things out.

Do you want to try to continue to operate the account, or just close it down?

Re: Help with contacting

Sorry for your loss I lost my wife a few years back and it's a difficult time. I am assuming this is his account. Open up the seller and look for the listing are whiich will look something like the following. Click on the active listings, this account currently has 192 active.

This will give you a listing of the individual items. There is a drop down button on the left side of each item that  you can click and end the listings. All but one of your listings are BIN and the one auction item has no bids.

Once you have ended them all there is another section that shows the unsold and not relisted. Open this section and delete all the unsold items just in case they were setup to automatically renew. This will stop any additional sales. It looks like you have about 7 items that have sold since 1 January. On the seller hub is a section called tasks that will tell you if you have items that need to be shipped. You can open the individual orders and ship them or cancel them if you do not want to deal with it. If you cancel inform the buyer of the reason. While the cancelations may impact you husbands seller ratings it is probably irrelevant since at some point you need to close the account based on the information ckimodog provided.

You could check with family or friends to see if any of them could help you with the cleanup.

Re: Help with contacting

Thank you all for the responses. I  would like to have a number to call and talk to someone. I know that my husband used to call and able to talk to Ebay. The dates for things to be shipped has passed and I dont know if people were refunded because of the delay in shipping. I dont want to ship things out if this has happened.

Re: Help with contacting

Sorry for your loss.  If you can access the Ebay account then just end all listings.  Look for the "listings" link. Once there look for the small "actions" box on the left and check it.  That should mark all the listings on the page as well as highlighting the larger "actions" box.  Click on that larger actions  box and select "end listings".  You might have to repeat this as not all listings will show up on that first page.

If there have been quite a few sales that have not shipped then in all likelihood the account will be suspended and the buyers will be refunded.  So unless you are intending to continue to sell on Ebay then there is no real need to contact Ebay.  Alas, the end of phone customer support by knowledgeable Ebay employees leaves few options for a family where the seller has suddenly passed or had to be hospitalized.  It also highlights the need for all sellers to have an emergency plan for a designated person who has the password to be able to take over the account and end listings as soon as possible.

Re: Help with contacting

There is a Help & Contact link at the very bottom right side of this page.

Follow the directions to contact eBay.

Request a call back from eBay to speak directly to a customer service representative.

My sincere sympathy on the loss of your husband.

@burgsthings

There is no number to contact Ebay.  Everything is basically on line.  You can use the chat option with this link if that would be more convenient:

https://www.ebay.com/help/contact-ebay/account/contact-ebay/

The chat option would be the best option here.  Hopefully they'll be able to help you.  Please take care of yourself thru this difficult time.  🤗

Re: Help with contacting

The phone clerks are nice and will be sympathetic, but they do not work for eBay and have a quota of call to complete.

You will be better off with the social media Chat workers who are eBay employees, with good training and some authority.

https://www.facebook.com/eBayForBusiness/ — Message button in upper right on landing page.
https://twitter.com/askebay?lang=en

https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/How-do-I-contact-Customer-Support/m-p/32016431#M1783851 -> Automated Assistant, type AGENT -> enter. You will then get more options.

The social media Chat accounts are covered by trained eBay employees with some authority.
And you get a transcript so you can compare what you heard with what you were told.

Never worry about posting here. There are decades of experience available to help you.
