I sold an item over the weekend and it was paid for and I got an address and got it all set and shipped out on monday. But later in the day Monday ebay said the buyer wasnt verified and totally canceled theborder and it said DO NOT SHIP this item- (which i did already) but if you had shipped it to get it canceled. So I dicked around with USPS and I was teying to intercept it all online but ebay canceled and deleted the original information and adress so I can not verifiy the address with the original tracking and cant get it intercepted. What the hell do I do now? Just eat the cost of shipping and the item? I was trying to contact ebay to no avail. HELP. I'm **bleep** about this

...if you purchased your shipping label through eBay, go to My eBay Selling, click on Shipping Labels page...choose that buyer's order, click on "Action", there are only 2 choices as "Print Another Label" or "Print Packing Slip", choose "Print Another Label", it will pop up all the information as you will buy another shipping label but obviously you are not, you cheat the system to get the buyer's address for your intercept package claim with USPS...
...good luck...

Sadly I did not ship it that way -I just wrote it by hand and went to our p.o. to ship it. And ebay deleted all of the info from the order and canceled it all..

It seems as though this is happening a lot more, This also happened to us. Mine was canceled saying that the customer was not an eBay customer-What? As much info as i have to put in to sell on eBay how could this possibly happen? I had already shipped this item and it was almost a week later that eBay sent us this message...Why would they not have something in the system that would automatically put up a red flag for these things...

You kept the receipt right?
Use the tracking info on the receipt

...very clever point...
...and if the OP can't trace down information from usps.com, he/she should bring that receipt to PO asking for help in intercept that package...the best is getting help from any supervisors or managers whom in charge at that PO...they are the only ones can dig deeper inside the USPS systems with their privilege...
...but time manner is the key in this matter, so better hurry up, do it ASAP...as today is already Thursday, weekend is at the door, and USPS is...a turtle...

unfortunately, without all the required information you can't do a package intercept with USPS. You can call them and give the tracking number and see if they can help you over the phone to set up intercept but i don't know if they will be allowed. Also, intercept is not guaranteed, you must supply a credit card or debit card at time of ordering a intercept and that payment method will be charged if the package is intercepted, if it isn't no charge will be given.
And it only gets worse since that conclusion...

One more on this... did ebay originally send you a mail that stated "your item sold, time to ship"? If they did and you shipped it, and then ebay sent you another mail telling you not to, then this is on ebay and you can call them and appeal for a credit of the item and shipping because they told you originally to ship and you did. Just a thought.
And it only gets worse since that conclusion...

this has happened to me plenty of times
I am unsure why you want the package back..you would then need to refund the buyer
I never want to give up a sale.the buyer still has payment protection if they are NARU
does the bueyr have an advntage when they are NARU.I do not think so
the last thing I want to do is give a buyer money back because they are no longer registered

You DO NOT have to intercept it..........you will not be charged back for the item......... I've had 20 or so over the years.......never had anything come of it... Ebay told you to ship/you shipped, they kicked the buyer off for whatever reason........it's now on ebay........

this is what I said also, if ebay told them to ship originally then it's on ebay, fact they sent a mail after telling not to doesn't help if seller already shipped...this sounds to me as a ebay f up and that means they are responsible to credit the seller. Though seller purchased the postage at post office all ebay would need to refund for the postage is the original USPS receipt - without that, may loose out on the postage but they should be crediting the seller the cost of the item and fees charged.
And it only gets worse since that conclusion...

Nuc..........I've never had any other word about any of those cases........ no having to submit anything to ebay......I think we get the message so that we WILL try get the item back and ebay won't have to cover any refund....
and I've never had any funds "held".........all this before MP.........would be interested if @totallytubulartreasures had any funds held? If not, you're sure clear.........

@dhbookds honestly, never happened to me, so idk, could be wrong, but the ebay process in MP is once a payment for an item is confirmed, ebay sends a mail telling an item paid for and it's time to ship that item. Many sellers in MP do wait til money is in their bank to ship, but many like myself ship in 1 day handle time or even same day in some cases... OP saying ebay didn't send them a mail telling them not to ship til several days later... that to me says ebay is responsible and should be issuing the seller a credit for item, fees, and postage. However, the part I do not understand is where OP says that ebay deleted the order record... never heard of them doing that, there is a record of the order, and that should be on the downloadable report if not on orders page for the transaction.
And it only gets worse since that conclusion...

They've always done that.........I presume to remove any information about the buyer..... The buyer was kicked off for a good reason/that we will never know.....but he will get the item, since the seller has mailed it......
