Has anyone tried Pirateship.com for shipping

Has anyone out there tried Pirateship.com for your shipping. They say their Priority mail pricing is cheaper because they use Priority Mail Cubic pricing.

Re: Has anyone tried Pirateship.com for shipping

Really?

Ebay has never stated that we are not allowed to talk about ALL shipping options out there, competitor or not.

We don't need anymore board talk police, we're trying to find the most economical way to run our business.

It's already a double wammy that ebay not only sells our postage to us at a profit, but also double profits off of it by charging us 10%.

So are we backing off on the common complaint that eBay makes money on shipping labels? I hear that claimed a lot. If this is true any other company that makes money from shipping labels is a competitor for that part of the business.

Who is we, Kemosabe?

Re: Has anyone tried Pirateship.com for shipping

It is excellent. Didn't need anything but eBay shipping until eBay changed things in the postage area. I often I know something can ship first class or flat priority but it won't show on eBay. PShip makes it easy to copy in the address and is usually a few cents less. They are very responsive and reply to any question quickly. Overall, it's about the same cost but the convenience and ease of using PShip is worth checking out. With eBay's new and NOT improved shipping, it's great to have a backup.

No I don't think so  . Retired is the key word now and all of the parrots I ever met  wouldn't mind  either  🙂 Just make sure to have plenty of peanuts  around . My parrot Wilbur  used to like throwing the empty shells at my dad .   Tulips

heh, silly parrot!

i haven't used ps, but have looked at it and have an acct there.  they also have all the info for hazmat shipping easily accessible (tho the usps parts are confusing as all u.s. gov manuals tend to be).  but the indices are there easy to find, as well as label requirements and such.  i've never really looked at hazmat shipping thru ebay.

Truthfully , this is the first time I ever heard of pirate shipping . The only pirates I ever met were at Disneyland  and none of this has anything to do with Wilbur  anyway . That is,, unless he got a job there .It's quite possible  . Parrots can live 60 to 70 years or more . 🙂   Tulips  - sorry  it's silly Saturday .

Sadly I had to find another home for Wilbur . I was 19 years old at the time and moving into my own  place . They wouldn't take pets  😞  .  I missed him  but he never writes or calls  so I assume he's doing okay.  🙂   Tulips

Pirate Shipping is a great website. Don't be afraid of the name. I've used them for over a year and it is a very good site that you can save money using. Very easy to navigate.

Re: Has anyone tried Pirateship.com for shipping

you just have to compare p/s pricing vs ebays on individual basis.  mostly pirate is same or cheaper, but not always

Re: Has anyone tried Pirateship.com for shipping

I hope this thread is still active!  I’ve been wondering about using pirate ship for awhile but I’m confused about something.  It seems like you need to know the buyers address in order to get the shipping rate.  When I create a new listing on eBay, I obviously don’t know who will be buying the item yet.  The point is to get the buyer the cheapest rate possible, so how I can I get my post to show them that rate?  When I put in my weight and dimensions on eBay and choose Priority shipping it automatically shows the range the buyer will have to pay.

So I feel like I’m missing something obvious here...unless everyone is offering free shipping and just taking a chance someone in the expensive zones don’t purchase the item?!
