Just a quick question for everyone out there. Has anyone had an increase of Sales since the Implementation of GTC? If you have seen a decrease please mention it here.
Cheers everyone!

Just my thoughts. But, as soon as you get your head around the fact that Ebay is a faceless, ruthless, corporate machine that is in it's death throes, unless it can reinvent it self. And it's reinvention is going to start with "YOU". The seller is the reason Ebay exist. Everybody who wants to sell on Ebay is already selling on Ebay, so there is only one way to increase revenue, and that is by increasing fees, and taking more away from the seller. The little seller like most here are in a majority. Change can occur when those numbers are org....; i.e. boy...., can......listings before end of 30 days, not using the Promoted Listing Feature etc.. They need to be thought out, organized, and the masses must commit, and follow through.
Good Luck!
I agree that we have a voice. many respond that we do not. I believe that we do. I sell on 3 sites I have one store. I have taken down all of my listings for this month. I have not accepted any seller incentive offers since March 18. I have always been loyal to eBay. Selling on eBay has been a family project for years. We set a goal, I manage the listings and my sons and husband leave the house each morning with items to be shipped. We have a rhythm that is embedded in our routine of daily activities. I am a creature of habit and was never interested in learning a new selling platform. I have begun listing on other sites. I plan to make an informed decision to come back or never return to eBay. As the days tick on I am getting further away from eBay and more inspired by other options.
Signing in to eBay every day has been a habit of mine since 2003 so I am having some withdrawal issues. I have never participated in the discussions before. for this month you are my only link as I slowly transition away form an old friend

Same here... I think folks want to complain about new changes... this is the time of year that sales are DOWN anyway... they will pick back up. I FINALLY got to my 1000 free listings, so I am taking time to clean up all my dead stock with some Spring cleaning.
I don't know how automatically relisting your items is a bad thing. This is a job. I run my store as a store and sell on Ebay as my job. I don't like a lot of the changes Ebay has forced on us and I don't like a lot of their policies, but I've learned to adapt. I DO wish Ebay would embrace what they are, and not try to be the next Amazon.
I DO want to reiterate what I have said in other threads... Ebay should allow individual sellers the option for listing durations, rather than a blanket policy...

Sales are down, GTC is not for the small business. E-bay listen to us. Thanks

NO NO NO. Actually in the last month or so my sales have dwindled to practically nothing. I am a very small seller but am wondering if this is worth my time. The GTC takes away my right to decide what items I want to relist and uses up my free insertions. I depend on those free insertions.
I also am disgusted with ebay's so called tips and help. The selling advice is always lower the price, offer free shipping, offer same day shipping etc. I've called a few times to get advice on a few items that are not selling and the reply is always something like - it looks good, lower the price etc. My partner is a super shopper and buys only excellent condition at great prices. I don't try to make a killing and my feedback is excellent. With my sales dwindling I am not sure about continuing.
Promoted listings are increasing views but only a few sales. Thanks for listing to my complaints. Great community.

The problems are for the small seller - up to a couple hundred items a month. It benefits the large seller. My sales are down. Good luck with your sales.

I certainly agree with everyone's comments. Have not had a single sale since GTC and I further agree that Ebay needs to get out of the micro management business. Selling on Ebay used to be a great way to make a few extra bucks and find a great bargain or two. Ebay has totally screwed it up for the small business folks. They are the only ones making money because it forces us to waste the "free listings" (that are not really free because we pay for them through store subscription and then again when items sell). Totally a waste of time. I guess it's time to shut it down and move on. Not worth the effort any more. There are plenty of other venues. And now I have plenty of time to check them out. So long Ebay . . . moving on.

Same here. What is wrong with eBay's management. I assume they get their money from sellers, if so, why such hostility?

My sales are in a slump for the past several weeks. I'm a small time seller; GTC is bad for me.

My sales are tanking. Tuesday was my slowest day ever. Today may beat it with only $2.99 in sales. I have 9,400 items, 13,500 pieces and about 140K in inventory. I almost always do a bare minimum of $200.00 per day with many between $300 - $500.
My sales have slumped so bad that it is massively depressing. I started posting on the book today as I need to keep the register churning. I have a family to feed and this is scaring the hell out of me.

Sales are about the same and entirely my fault because I have not listed new stuff and pulled the losers from circulation. Time for them to go to the "pound" (aka flea market).

It is weird that my friends were talking about this just last night. NOBODY at our table of 10 was wearing a watch! We all checked our phones to see the time. Maybe watches are becoming obsolete?

I have had a bump in sales, so that makes me a happy camper.
Sales have been in the dumps for the past few months, and so far, March and April are looking up. I have had 11 sales since March 18, and none of those were GTC. It looks like someone turned on the spicket, so to speak.
