Yesterday 7 of our orders showed up with the handling time being completely ignored and even though 1 day handling time, came up as 0.
Today it looks like it's worse and 40 of our orders are having the issue.
All of these below orders are items with 1 day handling time that were ordered yesterday... What's going on?

Here is the 2nd paragraph of message #71:
"While shipping early may offer you a benefit in one-off situations, the estimated delivery date does take into account historical shipping data and continued early shipments may simply result in a change to the estimate provided to your buyers. We look to your handling time and information provided by the courier, but will make adjustments if we find that items are arriving "late" or "early" consistently. I would say that this is a good practice to be in if you have any reason to be concerned with delays, if the buyer specifically called out needing it soon or for other unique situations."
I did find past posts that had the issue you outline. They were a glitch.
That ONLY pertains the 'Estimated Time' that customers are shown and has NOTHING to do with your actually 'handling time/and or showing 'late'.
Many of my items show nearby states as getting in 3 days, far states 5 days. I have 5 handling days and all orders always show me to 'ship' in 5 days, but again- per ebay (when I spoke with Facebook Rep) that the 'estimated delivery date' is a 'proprietary' system that takes in consideration your 'actual' shipping time (many times we ship next day and usually no more than 3 'business' days'.

Yeah, if you scroll up you can see that's what I posted initially. Since fancy fox was talking about handling time changing I wanted to make sure I hadn't missed something.

So that means it started overnight Tuesday, which is traditionally a time they commonly do system updates.
On Tuesday night I was running into a few different errors - even posted one on the tech board though it cleared up by the next day.
Last year there was a long stretch where they did site maintenance on both Tues and Thurs nights. The status board currently shows Thurs exclusively (I checked it Tues night to make sure), but both of us seeing errors that happened overnight Tues does point to the possibility of site maintenance causing some problems.
Good to hear the issue appears to be clearing up. Keep us posted if there's a relapse.
You have all those screenshots so if you need to appeal any late shipping you'll be able to. I'd be interested to know if you even get hit with late shipping or late tracking because that might not happen if this was what eBay loves to refer to as a "display error" on the orders page.

I think it's a bit more than a display error, as it's also telling buyers the dates without handling time.
Right now the right issue is the lates. But then we have to hope there's not going to be a ton of INR's if they don't arrive within the time eBay told the customers. As we all know those are much harder to get handled...
The issue seems to be intermittent again now. The last 5 orders, 3 are showing correct, 2 are showing the wrong date.

As far as your performance and metrics go, there's a department of eBay that has the ability to whitelist accounts in extraordinary circumstances where it's justified. I had one such situation years ago and was whitelisted for a little while, so I guess it's possible they may have stopped doing that but I've read other people refer to it very recently. Getting to that department may be difficult. You'll have to talk to them by phone and ask for supervisors, possibly calling back and getting someone else. Or, you could try eBay for Business on Facebook.

If you're selling on the internet, and you're not on vacation or "away" or whatever you want to call it, then you're never "closed."

I have a 2 day handling time but usually ship the next day.
I'm not experiencing any glitch or problem with my handling times.

Yeah, problem is, the "lates" are one battle, but the "service metrics" from people who open INR's are a different story and usually can't be removed.

I'm not sure why leaving comments such as this, eBay's options for which days of the week are shipping days, and the handling time feature, disagree with this statement.
It's eBay's responsibility to make sure they're working properly, as they shouldn't be holding us to terms that aren't in our listings/store.

March 14th update:
The issue seems significantly better as of yesterday and is working better for the most part. But it seems some type of issue still persists, as orders made overnight are still counting as "Ship today".
As seen in the screenshot below, orders at 12:02AM, 1:04AM, and 2:57AM are counting as ship today (even though they are AFTER midnight)
But the order at 4:28 onward are showing up properly.
So it seems either 3AM or 4AM is the "cutoff" at the moment, rather than midnight?
I have to wonder if this is some sort of time zone issue? Is it measuring the orders based off of Midnight EST? Possibly factoring time zones wrong to account for the additional hour if it's 4AM?

@zamo-zuan we have been experiencing various other glitches but not this one. All of our sales are showing the correct 1 day handling time as they sell. The listing tool was jumping back and forth before our eyes from a previous version to a newer version all within the same listing though yesterday. every time you would hit enter to add an item specific- it would change the format from the newer style to the previous popup box style. It could all e connected to an update/glitch
Hope you are well otherwise!

Maybe they forgot to move their clocks ahead for daylight savings time LOL.....

We hadn't noticed that issue on our end! We only had the handling time issue that I'd seen.
Time issues across time zones are pretty common in web based software, so it might just be that at this point. The initial fix seems to have resolved most of it, just this part of it persisting!
Yup, doing pretty well all things considered! There hasn't been the large bump in business at tax time this year that there usually is, but that's understandable considering the economic situation.

I went into shipping and saw we can finally change handling time to some period longer than 3 days. That's needed for larger freight items you have to privately set up carriers for. Whenever I click 7 or 10 days for handling time the shipping window just resets to blank/none.

You can set anywhere from same business day handling time up to 40 business day handling time. That's not new. It's always been that way (except the 40 biz days was previously max 30 biz days, but even that change was at least 2 years ago).
If you're running into problems setting your handling time @morphius135 I suggest starting a new thread rather than piggybacking on an old issue from 18 mos ago that was specific to a different seller's account. You'll get more relevant advice that way and less confusion will be caused as people won't start responding to the original poster of this discussion instead of you.
