Semper Fidelis and Yeah for brats!
My Mom and dad both served in the Air Force but were no longer on active duty by the time I was born. My two children are Army brats. My late husband served for 26 years in the Army.

This was my dad...he passed several years ago and yes, this was my backyard as I was born and raised in Hawaii (on and off, a few duty stations here and there). A golf course off of an ocean. What a plus!

Can you clarify - do we ask all members to pause and reflect or do we omit users from countries like Germany, Japan, Italy, North Korea, China, Iraq, Panama, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan?
A rather negative view.
We celebrate Cinco de Mayo and Day of the Dead which come to us from Mexico even though we were once at war with them
We celebrate Halloween, Saint Patrick’s day and Boxing day which come to us from the British Isles even though we were once at war with them
We celebrate Santa Claus and Oktoberfest which come to us from Germany even though we were once at war with them
We celebrate National Cherry Blossom day which come to us from Japan even though we were once at war with them
We celebrate New Year’s Day, Cupid and St Valentine’s day which come to us from Italy even though we were once at war with them
I could go on.
