Grrrrrr

Notice something missing?

no category path, no search suggestions.......  the shop category is to a huge, general page...

I used that category path ALOT for listing......as well as the search suggestions for titles.

Hopefully it's a glitch only to me........but does anyone else see the same thing?

Hey @wastingtime101 thanks for the tag and for this feedback!  I will be glad to pass this along to the appropriate teams!

Thank you kyle@ebay . There are at least a dozen threads on this in the past few days.

I hope everybody will take my advice to click the ? icon on the lower right of the page and use the submit feedback link. Ask eBay to restore the category path at the top of the page.

The more people that do this, the better chance eBay will listen to the feedback and restore the category breadcrumbs to the item page. So yeah, you guys will see me repeating that advice like Bill Withers Lovely Day. When a lot of people use that tool it's effective, so use it. 😁

Re: Grrrrrr

If you have a down or "end" key,  you can at least skip the scrolling.

Shift+Click on the bottom end of the slide bar should also work if the page has finished loading.

Re: Grrrrrr

Hmm, unfortunately on my browser the a_c_green and fern*wood suggestions (end key, shift, click) still refuse to kill the scrolling.

When I noticed we lost the category path a while ago I struggled but did find a way around it.  When you are viewing the posted item, go to the lower left of the main picture and click on the:  Have one to sell?  Sell now

The screen that comes up will have the category to view.  This method sucks though, as it litters your drafts folder with a copy of the item each time you do this!

Re: Grrrrrr

I do online shopping searches in google.  When I find an eBay item, I have in the past clicked on the category at the top to see similar items are available.  Seems to be an action eBay should want buyers to do.

Re: Grrrrrr

WHO EVEN SCROLLS TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE?    I called eBay two days ago to ask WHERE IS THE CATEGORY?  And.... THEY HAD NO CLUE!  Thought like me - that it had simply been removed.

My buyers don't even find my DESCRIPTION it's so far down beyond other useless ads.

I ALREADY have people returning items because they didn't realize it was in the COLLECTIBLES category - and they DIDN'T READ THE DESCRIPTION.  Now it will be even worse.

And how in the world do they expect buyers to find it?   Do they really think ANYONE reads the infinite number of ad pages they stuff into single listings?  WOW.

I've only done it once because the listing I searched for and clicked on only had a single, dark picture. Hoping to see better pics than the thumbnail, I was disappointed that they didn't have any other pics, but I found a better item at a cheaper price in the suggested listings.

I know I should probably feel ashamed, but the original seller should have had at least a pic of the bottom of the item, and heck take pics outside if there's no light in the room.

Re: Grrrrrr

I just notice that the other day, was listing an off the wall item and the categories up top where gone. Didn't know under what to list it as. I'll use the link when I can, not sure if ebay listens but at least one of the Mod's answer you.

Thanks for the info its now 10 ft down at the bottom
