Notice something missing?
no category path, no search suggestions....... the shop category is to a huge, general page...
I used that category path ALOT for listing......as well as the search suggestions for titles.
Hopefully it's a glitch only to me........but does anyone else see the same thing?

Nope I see it as well

Yes... but the categories do show up when you go to create a listing.
Probably eBay's crack A-team of software engineers left out a semi-colon somewhere in the code that they were playing around with.

It's been moved to the bottom of the page. The problem with that is the nearly infinite scroll as more and more and more and more and more ... sponsored ads appear before you finally get to that buried info at the bottom.
We've been around on this numerous times kyle@ebay . Please let the buying team know the category breadcrumbs are pretty important! As buyers we use them for browsing/shopping. As sellers we use them for research. As Community volunteers we use them for answering questions about things like why the listing was not eligible for eBay Standard Envelope or why the fee was x% instead of y%, etc.

Thanks for "finding it" @wastingtime101 and, not to be personal,.......but it is a waste of time scrolling down forever...... and I did the report thing before I posted.......

"It's been moved to the bottom of the page."
Because that's the last place anyone would look for it.

Tagging in some others that asked about this on the ask a mentor forum.

I guess it's another way to get people to see all the sponsored listings before you get to it.

Oh me oh my. I had not noticed quite yet but now, **bleep**. It's hard to believe this was consciously done, almost as though an Amazon U/I designer transferred to eBay and said "here's what we would do at Amazon" (which is notorious for truly horrible design).
I did click on the "?" and submitted the following:
"Why was the "category" moved from the very top of the screen to near very bottom? For example, when looking at a book, Books, Movies & Music > Books & Magazines > Books. That information is so useful when trying to figure out what category to list an item in and was instantly viewable before. Now one must scroll and scroll and wait for the page to update while doing so to finally get at the category.
This makes not a lick of sense. PLEASE fix it to the way it was. (This coming from someone who has some training in user-interface.)"

It was probably done automatically by the Fartificial Intelligence bot.

Wow, that's absurd. It took me awhile to even find it at the bottom of the page, as the page kept loading.
I used the ? Link to submit feedback.

I didn't notice it at the time but way back in 2023 when eBay said "phase one" of the View Item listing page redesign was complete - the mock ups they showed of "phase two" did not have category breadcrumbs at the top.
If they've actually started phase two now - maybe they'll finally make good on that promise to "Bring critical information like Item specifics and seller description higher up on the page before any modules that show other items & ads."

Yeah i caught this today too. I browse a few categories for watch parts, that are DEEP and can't really even be navigated to, you have to search for something likely to be in that category then select the category from the tree on the left, open a listing in that category, then use the tree at the top to browse the entire category (instead of just your search term).
So as usual ebay has taken something that used to be simple to navigate to, and made it take 4 steps to get to, now they've taken that away too.
If you just try to navigate to it by clicking, you can't get into that category. It takes you to a page with general search suggestions instead of a map of each subcategory.
So if you search for "Watch lot", there are several categories like 'Movements" and "Wholesale Lots" etc. that you can only get to by searching. Then you can't browse the category because they just removed the tree...

Hey @wastingtime101 thanks for the tag and for this feedback! I will be glad to pass this along to the appropriate teams!

Wow...I use this information to figure out the best category to list items. Very disappointed that it has been taken away. I did find it at the bottom...but sooooo much scrolling!
