I've shipped a lot using the GSP but it all went media mail. I am working with a customer in Canada who wants to buy a lot of computer games which I know do not qualify. I plan to use the Region A box. Will he be charged more for shipping using the program than using media mail. He is asking for media mail. I suggested he call Ebay on his end. I really have no idea if he'll be charged more because of the Priority box. Does anyone here know?

Depending on the weight you may want to consider first class and add insurance if applicable. While you are constrained to under 1 pound for domestic shipping international first class can be up to 4 pounds. If you are using the GSP they will actually calculate the shipping (both legs) and send the buyer the invoice.
For Canada shipment you may want to consider not going through the GSP and create a separate listing bundle for the buyer use BIN and immediate payment required and ship direct. Coordinate timing when you post so the buyer is ready to make the purchase when the listing is up.

When shipping with GSP you're only concern is getting the package to the GSP hub in Erlanger, KY.
It doesn't matter where the final destination is.
As far as you'r concerned, you're shipping it to Erlanger, KY.

You can't ship the items media mail........illegal........ALL other postage from USPS is going to be more expensive than media.... Region A box is a priority box.
here's the shipping calculator:
https://www.ebay.com/shp/Calculator
As others have said tho..........the shipping from you to Ky to GSP ..........probably isn't going to be the deal breaker...........what GSP will charge to deliver to Canada will include any important taxes......so could be a "chunk" of change for the buyer.

important taxes. = 'import' taxes.............need more coffee....

I wasn't aware that international Media Mail was even a thing! What good would it do for your customer to call eBay?

Canada is the only international destination I will ship to directly. My other international eBay sales go thru GSP, especially after getting screwed last year when I tried to do a customer in France a favor by shipping directly (I ended up having to pay $18 towards shipping out of my own pocket!). I knew there was a 4 pound weight limit, but I wasn't aware the size limit for First Class International Parcels was sooooo tiny! (I think about 35 inches combined, if I remember correctly).

If you are using GSP you can use Pony Express if you want to get it to Erlanger.....
The "you" to "Erlanger" end of the postage is passed on to your buyer based on what method you choose for domestic shipping (i.e. Pony Express-$3.00 or Priority Mail -$13.00 or whatever)
The Erlanger to final destination (buyer) is determined by your parameters passed on to the Hub and calculated to your buyer (Leg 2)
Leg 2 May or May Not be Pony Express. You do not know and can not designate the class of shipping from Erlanger (the Hub) to its final destination.
The only way you control the shipment is by doing it all yourself.
...this is my understanding of the workings of GSP

Having your potential buyer call ebay for advice is (probably) a guarantee that he'll hear what he wants to hear but NO guarantee that the advice will be accurate.
If an item doesn't qualify for media mail, you cannot use it.
If you use priority packaging, you need to pay for priority mail.

First; you need to create a new listing with all the titles in 1 or the customer will be paying a fee for every listing. Fit it in 1 box, and be sure to state the size/weight on the listing.
Second; Regional is NOT a thing outside the US
Third: Media Mail is NOT a thing outside the US (and as stated, this would not qualify anyway)

One of the built in "features" for lack of a better word is combined shipping is NOT a thing with GSP. The only way for anyone, if they really wanted to use GSP (which many Canadian buyers) do not like, would be to combine everything into a single listing and advise your buyer once it is ready. Then it would be up to GSP to classify it for customs purposes. Not sure how that would proceed. If you sent on your own you would just need to break down the items included by HS customs code and prices for customs purposes. As for the rates, best bet would be a comparison using the USPS calculator and/or 1 of the services that provide USPS labels for any applicable discounts for the best price. eBay has no control over rates other than what they offer at the sellers end in the form of a basic discount.

Side note: From the GSP help page you can remove listings with GSP attached as required.

First class international is a bit odd and the limit is not really that tiny 36" is pretty good size i.e a 12 x 12 x 12 box, that is a pretty good size package. Oddly enough there is also a minimum dim on first class international.
Packages (small packets) other than rolls must be within the following dimensions:

Actually the regional boxes can be used both domestically and internationally.
Third: Media Mail is NOT a thing outside the US (and as stated, this would not qualify anyway)
That would be correct on both counts.

Who cares what they're charged for shipping by GSP, that's the buyer's problem, not yours. As for the buyer demanding media mail for games, that's a clear violation of the law.
The rate you charge for shipping is the domestic rate to get the item to ebay, and it has nothing to do with the rates ebay charges for GSP, those are completely separate.
Every GSP order I've had the last few years doesn't even show me what the buyer paid for GSP, and I could care less.
