For me it started just a few minutes ago.

"To help sell my item"

Terrible idea, policy, etc.

What does one do if after 1 month instead a fixed price listing they wanted to use an auction listing for an item?

I'm sure that ebay won't allow us to list competition selling sites on this thread, so unfortunately we will all just have to look for other sites individually which are appropriate for selling our items.

I can't rationalize giving ebay even more money for listing fees, etc. as a reward for making this selfish change to it's sellers (customers). 

It's a money grab. There is no other rational conclusion for them making additional work for themselves by deleting an already pre-existing function on their site under the guise of "helping us sell our items". "Helping us sell our items faster" is simply a marketing ploy they've been told to spread to attempt to hide this new revenue generating opportunity for their company. Unfortunately, I'm guessing that this new change will be of detriment to small business. Really a shameful thing for them to do.

We strive to provide excellent customer service to the ebay buyer. I'd like to know where the customer service is from ebay to it's customers...us sellers?

Obviously this rules shows some kind of abuse of power. In my opinion.

Why they don't get the rules from a business who asks only for fees of sellings, no monthly payment and no limited on listing. It could works because if we list more, we will sell more, and their profits will increase. This platform exist but unfortunately I was working happy on Ebay till now and i didn't want to change.

The custom label is just below the title on the create listing page. You may need to add it by using the customize link in the upper right if it is not there. You may also need to add it to your active listings page with the customize link.

I currently use custom label to put the date I first listed the item so I know how long its been up and the bin number it is in so I can find it when sold.

In this GTC scenario I would think if you put in the month and day 29 days from now in mmdd format (without the slash) you could then  sort that with the closest date on the top of the list. 

I have never used GTC before but if it still shows an end time that would be a much easier way to sort what is about to renew.

I am going to just let them renew automatic and see how it goes. I relist everything that didn't sell anyways since I haven't been using all my allotment. I often make adjustments to the listings first but I can just do them anytime now I guess. Good luck selling

I agree.  Terrible idea!!!  Whoever decided this was better should be investigated.  What's stupid is that the GTC option was already available if we wanted to use it.  Why force it on us????  

Can anyone tell me what other options besides Amazon is available.  I am extremely upset about this change.

GTC. Don't need it. Don't wont it. eBay: quit telling me how to run my business after paying you for 19 years. I know what works best which is why you made me a "Powerseller" and a "Top Rated seller." I'm not listing even 1 more item until this is resolved. GTC has GOT TO GO!!!!!!!

Oh it's affecting us sellers with stores too......even worse than you.....imagine trying to work with 4K+ items by yourself with this new policy.

Same problem here. Started to relist unsold items, saw they would keep renewing (charging me fees) so I need to switch to list everthing as an auction now. Buyers like the fixed price listings but many of us will need to cancel those. Terrible idea.Moving to another site will probably be the answer.

Yeah I always felt for a long time that they would have stopped that "Fees on shipping" **bleep** but it never happened.

Amen!!!!  Totally selfish on their part.  To attempt to give us the Okie Dokie "To Help Sales".  That's a bunch of nonsense.  I have a really small business, I like to list several things each day when I can and decide what duration I want on each item.  This GTC move gives all new listings created on the same day the same end date and then relists.  It has gotten worst selling on eBay.  In fact, it sucks now.
