For me it started just a few minutes ago.
"To help sell my item"
Terrible idea, policy, etc.
What does one do if after 1 month instead a fixed price listing they wanted to use an auction listing for an item?

Hi, yeah a nightmare for me as well. Many items do not even get too much expose till it gets closer to the date ending. Can you suggest a few site that we can sell ? thanks

Are you saying fees will be charged if the automatic relist causes us to go over our free monthly listings? Or are you saying we get charged every time something relists even if we haven't met our monthly free listings yet? And I didn't know auctions had automatic relistings - only GTCs. Please help.

My understanding is that GTC only applies to fixed price listings....no change in the auction format. Yes, the only reason this change was made is so that sellers will unknowingly be charged listings fees AFTER THEIR FREE (or store) LISTINGS HAVE BEEN USED UP. Most sellers will be aware that their counter is at 0 so they won't list until the 1st day of the next month. Now eBay automatically relists and takes whatever listing fees they can.

It seems like EBAY have a spy from another competitive side who give them this idea.

I was fearing this change as well. I remember when eBay first introduced the GTC option and that evolved into a class action lawsuit. This time I think it is clearer that relisting fees apply, but most selllers don't have unlimited free monthly listings. GTC makes sense for some of the larger sellers or sellers that replenish their inventory. However, for sellers that list more unique items, they may not want them auto-listed. Nobody wants unwanted or unanticipated listing fees either and that is bound to happen, especially in months with 31 days or months where we've participated in bonus "free" listings.

Yes, hundreds if not thousands of us are moving to another site. Also remember to stop shopping on ebay. That will impact them twice as much. I spend around twenty grand every year. Not any more, unless they reverse this horrible policy within 60 days. That's when my store closes or at the very least downsizes to a basic store.

It depends on what you sell. I can say that a neighbor of mine does very well on Etsy. I am leaning toward Amazon but won't make a decision until 60 days has passed.

Seller are also buyers. Be sure to literally stop buying anything on ebay even if you keep your store open. Ebay will lose millions of dollars in a short amount of time.
