Wondering why my listing doesn't indicate free shipping when I see it in the category listing..? The first attachment shows a screenshot of my listing's price. The second one is someone else's. All the other listings I see either have a price or mention free shipping. Mine doesn't. Is there a seller setting somewhere you have to revise to get that working?

Some listings don't show the 'shipping' amount, be it free or not. Been a glitch for a while. Don't worry about it; if someone is interested in your item for your price, they will only be even more happy to see the shipping is free.

Yes, In my actual auction it is there. It also shows up in search. But if you go to the category listing (gallery or list view), it is not there.

Thanks for that, Stainless. I suppose if they don't see any shipping amount there, they might just be all that more curious about clicking on the listing 🙂.

I viewed on my desktop computer and your listing shows "free 4-day shipping" (prominently displayed in "green letters").

I can't replicate your search exactly, because your listing has now sold (congratulations).
However, when I tried similar searches, trying to replicate it, I consistently saw either free shipping or the price of shipping to my location, on every listing. No matter what kind of search I did (including a category search) and even on sold listings; it showed how much it would have cost me for shipping. See the screenshot below.
I think that you did not see a shipping cost because it was your own listing ... you can't purchase your own listing, so it does not show a shipping cost. You did see the shipping costs on the other listings, because that was what it would have cost to ship those items to you if you had purchased them. The shipping costs are shown to potential buyers.

To double check what I found, I used Ctrl-F search to highlight all the words "shipping" on the page, and scrolled down the whole page, to confirm that every listing showed the shipping cost for me (a potential buyer).
That was true for both the completed listings search (shown in my previous post) and the active listings search as well (shown below). In the active listings search, every organic listing showed the shipping cost. The only ones that did not show shipping were the "sponsored listings" at the end, which were duplicates, and they did show the shipping cost where they showed up naturally in the search.

Yes, I did see that he was talking about category searches.
The only listings I found in a category search, that did not have shipping shown, were the "extra" hits that the sponsored items got. The same listings did show the shipping cost, in their normal place in the search results. It was only the duplicated "sponsored" listings that did not show the shipping costs.

that probably is the explanation...........but don't sponsored ones have to be id'd? that 3rd item isn't id'd as sponsored..... so that might indicate they aren't showing it on the generic listing? lol......we may be saying the same thing......
was your item sponsored?

No. I don't even know what "sponsored" is 🙂. But then again, I haven't sold on eBay for a while...
