Free FedEx label for authentication guarantee shoes, how to get?

As the title says, there is nothing showing the promotion.

my listing that sold has a 1 day handling time and has the authentication guarantee badge. I was charged the new fee structure of 12% for shoes under $150, but I am not seeing the eBay provided fed ex label.

when I go to create the label it says it is going to charge me and deduct the funds but ebay chat assured me it will be free which I doubt and they didn’t have much information on this new system at all either calling it a “promotion” when this is the way the authentication guarantee program will be moving forward.

does anyone know how to get the label? And/or does it not apply to shoes sold under $150?

thanks!

@bdawgscollectibles

Contact real customer service reps via the link I'm providing for you:

https://www.facebook.com/eBayForBusiness/

These are US CS agents who work for Ebay.  The one's you chatted with more than likely told you what you wanted to hear (read).  They are not helpful in most cases.

Many positive posts on these boards to be helpful.   Give it a try.

Find out what's really going on.

Good luck to you.

devon@ebay - can you confirm when the new shipping program for sneakers is supposed to go into effect?

A lot of people thought it was going to be yesterday passed on the language in the announcement:

But your Twitter reps are telling people it's a "gradual rollout".

Are they joking? I’ve already went back and lowered the prices on my authentication items to accommodate the higher shipping cost to the buyer by subtracting several dollars off my asking price. Now I come to find out it’s a slow roll? This company is just f*cking unbelievable!

@dolcetreasures totally understand your frustration. Unfortunately it appears they are not joking. 😞

I just randomly scrolled through a search of Jordan's, filtered for Authenticity Guaranteed and some listings have the new $14.95 shipping and many other don't - so it does appear to be a slow roll.

Here's what it looks like on the listing page if they do have it:

Hey @valueaddedresource! I was able to reach out to a specialist on this and they said that the rollout began at the beginning of October. This rollout will continue in phases and sellers will know that they have been enrolled once they see the free shipping label available to them.

Thanks devon@ebay appreciate you getting that answer!

However, that leaves sellers in kind of a tough spot, not knowing if they've been enrolled until they already have an order.

It also gives those sellers who have been enrolled a bit of an unfair advantage because they are not paying FVF or ad fees on that shipping amount, whereas sellers who have not been enrolled yet are either baking shipping in to the price for "free" shipping or charging it separately and either way they are paying fees on it.

So those that eBay has chosen for the first phase are essentially paying less in fees...which is especially unfair for those who sell sneakers in the $100-$150 range that just had a fee increase with this same update.

@bdawgscollectibles @dolcetreasures just FYI, the eBay twitter reps are now telling people it could be pushed back until the end of November. 😒

Hey @valueaddedresource! We have begun the rollout process for the new shipping labels through FedEx for sneakers going through our Authenticity Guaranteed program. While this process started in the beginning of October we will continue to bring more sellers in through phases.

Thanks devon@ebay  - I understand it is a phased rollout. The question is, how long is the phased rollout expected to take?

As I previously mentioned, doing this as a phased rollout creates a situation that gives some sellers unfair advantages over others so the longer the rollout process, the longer that unfair advantage remains in effect.

If eBay knew this was going to take several months, why was that not clearly communicated in the original announcement?

Does anyone know if the FedEx label will be required use? I'd much rather stick to USPS as FedEx Is the worst company to possible deal with

@godhims3lf I have not seen anything from eBay that says it will be required to use the FedEx label they provide.

However, I believe the way this new shipping program works is eBay automatically adds $14.95 shipping to the listing, that $14.95 is paid to eBay, not the seller, and eBay then makes a free FedEx label available for the seller to print.

If you choose not to use that label, you'll be paying shipping out of pocket and you may not have seller protection if the package says it is delivered but the authenticator says they never got it -

https://community.ebay.com/t5/Announcements/Seller-protection-update-for-Authenticity-Guarantee-tran...

So yeah...they haven't actually said it's required, but they've pretty much set it up so sellers have to use it, in my opinion.

Basically sellers are now forced to buy a $14.95 shipping label, even for shoes that may only cost $7.90 to ship, and ebay has the nerve to tell you the label's "free".  WOW!

Several of my recent listings forced me to use the three day handling and FedEx provided label.

I just listed a pair moments ago and I could chose handling time of 40 days and there is no FedEx option, it forced me to chose a shipping service like the days past and now seems to be back to the old way.

Slow roll and then now it's gone? Anyone else have this happen where it was running and now seems to be gone?
