First time ebay ever did this to me, as far as I know

An ebay message failed to get forwarded to my gmail inbox. I luckily was able to find it in my ebay messages console within ebay, I rarely scan there for unread messages since everything gets forwarded to my gmail inbox and managing my messages thru there is much easier and organized.

I even checked by keyword searching the buyer's ID in case the message got thrown into my spam folder. But nothing. As far as I know, this has never happened to me before. I have received multiple ebay buyer messages into my gmail inbox since then. So I know it's functioning. Anyone else experience this?

Glance over the forum and you'll see since Dec 26th dozens of threads about emails not getting through for sales, purchases, shipping labels, messages, and much more. It's a current tech issue.

You'll also find eBay has (probably in error) changed sellers' communication preferences and unchecked the box for notifications of sold items. Take a look and adjust those settings as needed.

I suggest anybody experiencing this problem should use the very easy method for reporting a technical problem as outlined here:

The more people reporting, the more likely eBay is to prioritize a fix.

eBay has had some email issues over the weekend.

I didn't receive multiple emails.

Thanks for the info guys, I've been MIA since Christmas eve. Perfect timing for ebay to do something like this, when disgruntled "where is my item" and "I want to return this POS item" buyer messages are at an all time high. Let's make them think sellers are ignoring them.

I always encourage sellers to regularly look at their Seller Hub.  You will see if there are unopened messages as well as any recent sales that haven't shipped.

Is this what caused you to miss some emails from a buyer regarding cancelling their purchase for three days that you wrote about on your other recent thread?
