First Class Package--What happens to listings that are not updated during the 30 day period?

From the seller news announcement:

If you ship with First Class Package, you will be able to update listings to USPS Ground Advantage over the next 30 days.

1) Does that "next 30 days" window begin on July 9th?

2) If yes, what will happen to my BIN listings if they are not updated during that 30 day window.

3) If business policies is not an option (I attempted to use them and chaos resulted), does that mean that each listing must be changed individually?

Thank you for any information.  I ask because I will be on vacation during a 30 day window which begins on July 9 and unable to revise any listings.

The issue that many of us have is the diverse range of shipping options we have for various different types of items.

There isn't an easy way to convert our First Class Only listings from FC over to the Ground Advantage. I'm not able to select only listings with FC to be imported into the bulk editing tool. And the bulk editing tool does not allow me to only edit listings that contain first class.

eBay needs to give us a filter, in either the seller interface or in the bulk listing tool that allows for us to only select listings with FC as the shipping option. Otherwise, I'll have to go through and edit them one by one, which is an impossible task with 1K + listings using first class.

I think Kyle pointed out that Parcel Select will only be automatically updated IF it is the only service......

Exactly. That quote that you shared in bold would be clearer if it read, 

• Listings that offer only Parcel Select Ground will automatically be updated to reflect USPS Ground Advantage as the shipping service.   

Using the term "with" implies that the entry for Parcel Select Ground will automatically be updated even if the listing offers other services such as Priority Mail, or a UPS or FedEx option.  Putting "as the shipping service" at the end of the quote just isn't clear enough.

Thank you for your patience @dhbookds. Our shipping team has stated the following:

"If a Seller has First Class Package and Parcel Select Ground, they can remove First Class Package and the listing would then update to Ground Advantage as Parcel Select is the only service left"

We will relay this message to sellers as needed, and update the pinned posts in the shipping and selling board.

Fine, if the two services offered are First Class and Parcel Select, then the solution is to remove First Class.  But that's an unusual combination of services, since PS is not only slower but also more expensive than FC; it would probably be used only for combined shipping that puts the weight above one pound.

But what about when the seller offers Parcel Select Ground in combination with other service(s) that they want to keep, such as Priority Mail, UPS or FedEx?  Will Parcel Select Ground automatically become Ground Advantage without any steps taken by the seller?  Right now, it seems that PS will automatically change to GA only if PS is the only shipping service offered in the listing.

It's becoming quite obvious that the shipping/memo writing team have little or no experience with actually listing or shipping items on ebay.   Needless to say, how to fix something like this isn't top priority either.

Add me to the list of sellers who this is going to be an absolute nightmare for - I have 2500+ listings over several accounts most of which offer multiple shipping options.

I simply don't understand why this cannot be handled on the backend by eBay - drop a code that converts all listings with first class package to ground select on the July 9th. This should be a crazy easy programming change.
