Re: Firestick Dilemma

Did they send you a message with why they ended your listing?

And it looks like you have 2 listings up for them right now, I'd certainly be hesistant to relist an item that they ended for me, unless those are different than the ones they ended.

Re: Firestick Dilemma

If it is not allowed to be sold here, then there is your answer.

And if you keep relisting, you will get banned.

You need to remove any reference to your store in your photos, see eBay policy

Re: Firestick Dilemma

It looks like there have been problems with piracy with this item.

OP, i'm not familiar with this item, but i do know if you persist in relisting the item that has been removed multiple times, you will lose your selling privileges. PayPal may also freeze your account and hold your funds. You are playing with fire, no pun intended.

Re: Firestick Dilemma

Different rules for different people unfortunately, I am not condoning selling counterfeit or fake items but eBay clearly DOES protect and ALLOW some people to do so.

Re: Firestick Dilemma

The problem is not that your selling firesticks, the problem is that your selling firesticks loaded with Kodi and perhaps other software that is not permissable. Google "Firesticks with Kodi" for an explanation.

Re: Firestick Dilemma

I will give you a quick answer and response. You're breaking the law, you're downloading uncopyright material and you're shipping an item that you mislead buyers too. So therefore yes ebay has the right to do what they want to do and it's their rules. Also you have that kodi symbol so therefore the amazon fire sticks and any streaming media is traced by the IPs. Downloading uncopyright material can actually land you and others jail and lawsuits. Hope that helps. If paypal is holding your funds they can actually give that money back to differnet buyers and the buyers also take repercussion measures and their at fault for buying uncopyright material.

Re: Firestick Dilemma

That's the misconception that too many have that doesn't understand how anything loaded with kodi works. Kodi is just a front end - so are all add-ons and builds of it. There is no "copyrighted content" on these devices until the user searches for a movie and presses play - just like Netflix, you're streaming.

Re: Firestick Dilemma

I'm currently in the same boat except my listing doesn't say anything about being jailbroken or unlocked or fully loaded. I listed it as a regular firestick and stated message me for details. Still got removed over and over again. Called to complain and get more information and they tried telling me no firesticks were allowed to be sold so I simply asked then why does ebay have a subcategory called Amazon Streaming devices under the Media Streamers category? Why is this product even an option when selecting what to sell. If it's band fine but then you need fully ban it! Stop letting these sellers who sell 1000's of them go because ebay makes a Sh*t ton of money off them with their selling fees.  Highly annoyed. I'm fine if they are truly banning them but don't just pick and choose who to ban and who to allow.

Re: Firestick Dilemma

This is true! You're not allowed to sell current police badges on Ebay, and not only do people continue to sell them, but when you notify Ebay they neglect to remove the item. I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm more concerned about someone getting a current police badge than a firestick with some "prohibited" software. When some domestic terrorist incident happens where people get killed, and its discovered that some lunatic gained access to something because they got a badge prohibited by Ebay, from Ebay, Ebay is going to make someone very wealthy!

@alicihal-7

Hi and welcome to these boards.

First, this is a 2017 thread, and you should normally have started your own topic on your problem.

But that's ok.

I'm sure your phrase "message me" and/or "message me for more details" was picked up the the bots, eBay's computers which scan listings for violations...

because it's against policy to state that.

Thanks

Lynn
