Hi All,
I have been an ebay buyer since the 2000's and have recently just got into selling. I was offered a promo for a $10 cap on final value fees on 10 listings. I activated the promo and proceeded to list 2 items, however, when I checked my dashboard I noticed that under the $10 cap promo, there are still 10 listings available (as opposed to 8). I contacted eBay cs and was advised that the count will adjust itself AFTER the item sells. I requested email confirmation on what we discussed so that I won't be liable for any additional final value fees if my items sell but have yet to receive the promised email. My question is has anyone come across a similar situation and can confirm that the item count does indeed adjust itself after it sells? TIA!

Yes, the numbers on that type of promo will not tick down unless a qualifying item sells. You are thinking of free listing promos where the counter goes down as they are listed.

You're getting mixed up because the normal Promo is for LISTING FEES, not fvf on the price the item sold at. So, in the listing fee scenerio as you list the # of promos goes down because you've used one.
With FVF promos, those 10 are applicable to ANY listing listed during time period stated that SELLS. You can only get the credit on 10........even if you list 100. So until one sells, you don't get any credit, because the credit is on the fvf.
To answer your question directly.......the # should go down as the eligible listings are sold.
