Fees for BULLION?

I can't find anything SOLID anywhere, and I want to know before I list anything.

Let's say I list a 10oz silver bar, and I have a store... what do they charge? I've seen 4%, but then I see it falls into 'Coins, etc' so it'd be 6.15%.

With a Store, the Coins categories are 6.15%.

(Scroll way down...)

I don't see any lower FVF for Bullion specified.  Where did you see 4%?

If you list in more than one category, and the categories have different FVFs, they're going to charge you the higher FVF.

With the latest promotion, I'd call it a collectible

Actually, I think they included the Coins Categories in the most recent promotions.

If you "Shop By Category", they have Coins under the Collectibles heading.

But they're separate categories for FVF purposes, and if you list it in Collectibles you'll pay 9.15% FVF vs. 6.15% FVF.

Re: Fees for BULLION?

That sounds complicated. That's why I always assumed Ebay went to the flat rate of 10% FVF instead of all of the random ones they used to have. Dummies like me especially without a store can figure out fees easily.

Re: Fees for BULLION?

Out in the real world, the BUY/SELL spread on Bullion is little more than 10%.  Once you factor in the shipping costs, 10% pretty much prices eBay out of the market... it's a low margin - high volume market.  That's why eBay discounted the Stores FVF in the category, and I suspect the big bullion sellers here have negotiated deals that are less than 6.15% even.

Just think they did it for ease of calculation.

Re: Fees for BULLION?

Apmex must pay less after looking at their bullion items for sale. Gold maple leaf 1oz at 1615.00 at 9% less eBay fees including PayPal fees that we all must except they would net 1469.00 net at 1,500 gold today. I would pay that today?  How do we get a deal like them?
