I have been a Ebay seller mostly and also a buyer for a very long time . And have allways left positive feedback on purchased items . I am sick and tired of selling items and buyers don't leave feedback . I am not going to leave anymore feedback to anymore of my sales unless Ebay can inform buyers to do the same .

I have done all of that and still most buyers don't leave any feedback . don't they know that good feedback only helps them also ?

I agree , but positive feedback is good for both parties

@towercreekdave Ever since I started Selling Buyers leaving FB has ranged between 50% - 60%, it has been pretty consistent. I leave FB for Buyers while the label is printing, then its done and I don't waste time later leaving it. If Buyers leave it great, if they don't great ...
I don't ask for it, I don't put notes in the packages requesting it, etc.

Great, you're learning. Now you can spend time selling more and making more dough for yourself and the rest of us.

Tell us how positive feedback helps a buyer, when it's the only kind of feedback they can receive, and when they don't need any feedback at all in order to buy from any seller on the site.

I couldn't care either way, mine is set to leave when received, but I do feel for new sellers who are trying to build a reputation.
While a lot say it isn't important it is usually those of us who are already well set up, and for the new seller it is very important to them.
Not to mention how many posts have you seen that advise both buyer and seller to ''always check the feedback'' - that would be pointless advice if no one left it. JMO

I'm pretty sure ebay does send a reminder. I actually wish they wouldn't.
Word! Stop spamming my buyers, eBay!
Buying online has long since stopped being any kind of a novelty - maybe 30% or so on average leave feedback? I always leave feedback for my buyers but it doesn't mean they have to leave it for me, it's just nice when they do and I appreciate it - leaving it for them is part of my task as a seller.

Ours is set up to leave FB when a Buyer does. Seems to work fine.
I rarely even look at what is left for us - I dread my email box, but just do not care about FB, stars, etc.
I get so many emails from Sellers on my buying ID wanting FB. Annoying as hades! If I left it, I meant to. If I did not, be grateful I passed.

Feedback for Buyers is a joke. The ones that really need feedback are the deadbeats who don't pay and we can only hilite that with a positive feedback. Feedback is just a waste of time.

I like to get positive feedback also. I think it is a sad sign of our times that so many buyers are not polite enough to bother. However, on that note, I feel sure some new ones don't even know to leave it. Best I think to leave it & try to not let it bother you if they don't reciprocate. Don't sink to their level.

Bad idea to not leave feedback just because it is not reciprocated. Your job as a seller includes putting on the best "thank you for your business" as you can, even if the customer leaves with the item they paid for and think that is enough.
It's a nice bonus to get reciprocal feedbacks. But just be thankful that you had a successful sale, and then move on to the next opportunity to confirm why you are here selling in the first place. It's business, not friendship or a petulant need for feedbacks.
Get over it and move on - you have no control over the buyer's prerogative to give you feedback or not.
Cheers, Duffy

FB should always be an optional for all!
