Hey guys,
This is becoming annoying, Buyers just not leaving feedback, Item delivered, happy with item, just don't leave feedback. its getting to about 70% of our total not having feedback left, does this happen to you? if so how do you make sure you get them?

It is a voluntary system. You have plenty of FB. There is NO SAFE way to make sure buyer's leave FB. If they want to leave FB they will. If they don't, they won't.
It is VERY risky to send emails and ask for FB. You could end up with problems you may not have otherwise had.
For me only about 25-30% of my buyers leave FB. I just don't worry about it anymore. There is nothing we can safely do about it. But I do understand how you feel. But just remember it is VOLUNTARY. Don't ever make a buyer feel they owe FB.

Hi, buyers are leaving less and less feedback over time. It is a voluntary effort and there is little that can be done to get a buyer to leave it. I think it is a bad idea to ask for feedback. So if i get it, great, if not, that’s fine too. No feedback is good feedback.
Some sellers withhold leaving feedback for buyers until it is left for them first. Personally, i disagree with that practice because it feels somewhat coercive to me. But that’s just my opinion, others feel differently and it seems to improve the chances of a buyer leaving it.

Feedback is voluntary.
What is your definition of 'voluntary'?

I wouldn't go looking for more trouble.

No news is good news these days. 😀

I'm lucky to get 50% feedback and as stated in an earlier post, not wise to ask for feedback, better to just let it alone. Also it's not just ebay, other sites have the same thing going on....

Do you leave feedback for buyers as soon as they pay? If so, don't. Wait until they leave it or at least 30 days after payment. It's about all you can do short of flat out asking, which doesn't go over well with some buyers.

And they don't have to. I think I run about 35% FB and I don't worry about it.

I think my definition of "voluntary" is the same as the American Heritage Dictionary:
Arising from one's own free will.
Not required.
Why do you ask?

A roughly 30-40% feedback ratio I think may be pretty common overall for ecommerce sites, or at least that's what I read about a year ago, and that seems about right. Unless one is a very new seller and really needs to get some good FB so buyers have some confidence in them, there's no reason to worry about it. I wonder if all of the various sites pestering people with surveys and requests for FB, etc., aren't just putting people off altogether.

Who cares....eBay's feedback system is a joke. So many non-payers and all they get is a strike, can not leave feedback for non-payers. I believe it takes at least 25 non pays before they will suspend. It's all about the $$$$$.

You have received 2067 feedback. What could you accomplish with 2068?

I was asking the poster, as I was curious. It seems that some think feedback is a necessity or a requirement, and from the way the OP was worded, it seems that the poster is of that mind - though, perhaps not. Just wanted to see if knew that it was voluntary, and if they knew what 'voluntary' meant.
