What, no comments/complaints about the new Fall Seller Update? Went to eBay community this evening expecting to see a bunch of traffic about the new update, but nary a thread. Previous updates have generated voluminous discussion, so I'm quite surprised.

Why? What has you concerned about it? It seemed pretty tame.

Even the 4 special discussion boards dedicated to the update are very quiet. This update was less controversial and less confusing than many in the past.

Yes, so quite that the few questions that are pending, no one is answering. No CSR came to any of the threads that I noticed at all today. I think they close them tomorrow, but I'm not sure.

There was a 99 page pdf attached to the one I read , giving changes to categories
I reported to my fellow Canadian sellers, but as I recall, there were a lot of changes to trading cards, clothing, and fishing rods.
And Canadians are now allowed to sell sex toys, which may have some impact on those of you who were having problems with that category and Managed Payments.
Books, stamps, and sewing patterns were left alone, so I didn't spend much time on it.

There were some positive changes. Saying Thank You to:
- The Time Away to all sellers was an excellent addition for non-store owners.
- Alias Emails will cut down on people trying to scam sellers with threats of bad feedback they would send to private emails. Now everything has to go through eBay's email so that people can't scam sellers. That in of itself is a BIG help to sellers.
- Automatic and set up to send offer to buyers.
- Category changes, yes we always need those, even if they didn't change the ones we sell in. I have many suggestions, but that for a later time.
- Item specifics, I know, it's a pain for sellers when they list, but it might help sell your item.
Some of the others, I don't know enough about, but I hope it helps.
No noise, because eBay is doing things in a positive way. No, I'm not a cheer leader. Just give complements when they are due.

One things I like is the larger pictures available in Terapeak.........the tiny thumbnails were impossible to see with my old eyes, but now if you click on them, they have a popup window with a considerably larger version........

The new Sell It Now tool is absolute garbage. It's watered down and takes more time to actually list items now, having to sort through the drop-down graphic-y menus. I honestly can't believe eBay continues to ruin the seller experience, fixing things that aren't broken.
