I am no longer selling on eBay as of this week. My fees were too high in my opinion which was 13% for Final Value. However, I will continue to purchase items on Ebay which are an excellent source and good variety. Bye, bye, to high fees, Ebay.

There is some irony here. Not sure about all sellers but I price my items at a point where the buyer is actually paying the fees, just like they pay the shipping cost. So if you continue to buy things on eBay you may still be paying fees just not directly. 😀

See ya. Good luck finding someplace to sell that is cheaper without hidden fees.

Just remember...if do not sell anything for 30+ days you might be considered a "new seller" if you want to sell something in the future. And you will not get your funds for 30+ days. Personally, I wouldn't stop. Never know when you might need extra cash. I have instant payments where I can get my funds around 9PM any day of the week including holidays and week-ends.

Before the internet to sell stuff you'd have had to consign goods with a 50/50 split or worse. EBay is a bargain.

I am trying to wrap my brain around this. There is a lot happening in the news today and I'm trying to take a break from the TV by coming back to eBay for a few minutes while dinner is cooking.
You, the OP, "selectgoods_pada" don't want to pay eBay's fees because, in your opinion, they are "too high."
So -- it's OK for me to pay those "high fees" if you should happen to buy something from my selling ID. Right?
I am torn. Do I add you to my Best Buddies List or do I hope you buy from me? See, I accept eBay's fee structure and I like to sell things on eBay to people who want them. But if you're buying from me so that I have to pay those fees that you are unwilling to pay -- do I really want your business? What to do, what to do.
I can say this, though -- I am again disappointed to learn of another eBay "quitter" who is not a competitor of mine. How can I get my competitors to stop competing with me?

I'm sad. There will only be 1699 "Apple I Pad 5th Gen" to choose from going forward.

You are upset about paying those "HIGH FEE'S" when selling your items in which your customer should be paying them for you.
on the other hand,
You don't mind buying items on eBay.
You ARE actually paying for those "HIGH FEES" just now you are paying your sellers fee's.
I think I need a picture for this one. Good Luck!!

What the...
So let me get this straight - Seems you are comparing the ebay venue that wants 30% of your item's selling price for an item you need to do ALL THE WORK and take ALL THE RISK with absolutely no guarantee whatsoever the sale will even stand if it sells, with a consignment shop that takes your item, cares for it, cleans it, stables it and takes all the risk to sell it for you who wants 50% of the sale and you think ebay is a bargain? - Given the value of my time and sanity, I'll take the consignment deal any day, any time, on any item...
