There have always been rumors about our items show differently in different parts of the country as well as rumors about price vs. using promotions; so I thought we could try something.
Give us your State and a Keyword Phrase or 2 that we could all 'check' and then report back if you find items in the top 20 or so? You can also note if you use Promotions or Not.
I'll start:
Nevada
Corvette Engine Chrome
Camaro Engine Dress Up
I use Promotions

A little short on time right now......but I can 'report' your
"Corvette Engine Chrome"
search term owns the "Best Match" page...at least the top 30 listings before a competitor (the top 4 of yours were sponsored)
Ohio....and it does show my car on the top

Whenever I rack and stack search results I always do so by price + shipping lowest first. You can check/compare variations by simply changing the shipping zip code in the stack to see if it changes.

Appreciate the feedback, but when you first do a search, Best Match, shows first, as well as in most cases, unless you are searching for that " One Thing", that doesn't work (price) and even more so, changing the zip code doesn't work as the 'server' is still the same one (West Coast server for example).

Your experiment will not work. ALL the items you mention show up for everyone regardless of which state. The problem is you may not understand best match search results.

In addition to the default Best Match, there are other Searches available.
Most popular, after the default, are Lowest Price(plus shipping) and Ending Soonest.
Many people like to see the latest thing and use Newly Listed, especially if they shop a lot in a particular category.
I'm something of an outlier, preferring Highest Price(plus shipping) so that I can bypass the cheap, misdiscribed crud and quickly bore down to my price point.

Actually, the experiment will NOT work if the 'rumor' is wrong and there is NO difference in what is shown in different parts of the country.
This 'experiment' is to see if that is the case, the entire point of this thread. Has nothing to do with 'understanding' Best Match (which I do)
