Is there a way to opt out of Ebay international shipping on an individual listing and only offer domestic U.S shipping?
I have a package that was held up for three weeks in limbo in Elk Grove Illinois and the customer is not happy. It appears to have finally left the U.S a month after I sent it to Illinois.
Is there a way to contact Elk Grove or recieve any kind corrective action when they misplace a package for almost a month

Also what happened to Kentucky? I never had any problems whatsoever when it shipped from there.

@north-by-northeast-finds ebay sent emails to everyone announcing their new int'l shipping transition and if we did not want to be a part of it, the message gives a link to opt out.

Customs can hold up various items going to various places a different pace, each and every time. This 'customer' is probably not comparable to a 'previous' one you had.
If customer is upset; just tell them that "you are in Ebays Program- they purchased from EIS and that all you are responsible for is sending it to Illinois; which is shows was successful. Then tell them that customs can hold packages 2 days to 2 months. Not unheard of. "

I thought it was all going through Glendale Heights... Easy to opt out. Open up your account setting. (under your name top left hand corner of seller hub). Scroll down to Shipping Preferences and the opt out button should be at the top. It may take 24 hours to be effective.

Yes. Create a new shipping policy like your current shipping and label it US SHIPPING ONLY. Exclude every region/country except the US. Use this new policy for items you do not want international shipping.
In my opinion, eBay did not add their EIS program correctly. Rather than using rules, like other shipping methods eBay "Hard Coded" the EIS program so it needs to be set to either OFF or ON by eBay. The result is you need to block or unblock countries (or have eBay turn it completely off for you).

While this is troubling, EIS is responsible for delivery of your item once it safely arrives at the EIS facility. You should be able to have related negative feedback removed and not received and not as described cases closed in your favor (EIS is responsible).
Wonder if EIS will have feedback including the negative feedbacks you would have gotten? Oops, almost forgot it's only the sellers who can receive negative feedback. Buyers only positive feedback. eBay no feedback.

eBay is very responsive to sellers needs and requests... sorry, I was daydreaming again. From my experience, this is not possible. Again, EIS should take financial responsibility for the late/lost shipment.
