What kind of error are they giving you?  It won't show for sale without a price.

I don't know exactly what you are asking unless you are trying to list a "variation" at a different price. Only one price per listing is allowed. And you might need to read up on what a variation is.  Just throwing out a couple of ideas. We need more information in order to help

Only one price per listing is allowed.

Variations can have different prices within the same listing   @pargran3

may be misunderstanding what you are saying.....

Re: Ebay won't allow me to price an item when I add a variation

I priced the item with no problem, and then added a variation.  The item is a ring that I make myself.  It needs the ring size variation so I can make the ring the correct size for any buyer.  After the variation was added pricing disappeared from the listing, the price section went gray, and it will now not allow me into that portion of the sell listing.  The price will not change regardless of the size chosen by the buyer.  I am new to ebay selling so I'm sure it's something simple here, but as of yet I haven't figured it out.

You are new to selling on eBay. You may be encountering this problem because you have reached your selling limit.

Re: Ebay won't allow me to price an item when I add a variation

I figured it out.  When you add variations, you not only have to specify a list of variations, size etc., you also have to put a quantity and price for each variation.  I didn't notice that requirement when I added the variation list.  Thanks for those who responded.

Re: Ebay won't allow me to price an item when I add a variation

if I understand your question....

the price is added to each different variation on the edit page for the variations, not the listing page itself after you initiated the variations.....the price box on the listing page will grey out

Sequencing:

click to:

variables-2.jpg

Scroll Down to:

variables-3.jpg

Add your prices and quantities to the appropriate variation......

Re: Ebay won't allow me to price an item when I add a variation

When you use a variations listing, the price isn't where it usually is.

The prices are now on the variations page (next to the quantity)  so that you can price each variation separately.

That sounds like you may have forgotten to put in a Quantity available.  Do you have a qty in that line item?
