Ebay restriction really????

Has anyone else received a restriction based on the fact that Ebay wants to confirm your identity and billing address? I did! I have provided the copies of my drivers license and a copy of a utility bill. I am bothered that they restricted our account until these items were provided. It would certainly seem smarter to me to request these items with a deadline to provide them rather than to restrict our account.

Even worse!!! Here is a copy of the message I just received from them:

"- Provide proof of delivery for all of the items sold on your eBay account.

-- The easiest way to do this is to submit tracking numbers for each of the items posted. This will help show buyers more of your selling history and will also allow us to confirm that your items have been posted. To upload tracking, please visit the adding tracking information page: http://pages.ebay.com/help/pay/upload-tracking.html

(Also, please keep in mind that when you print a shipping label through eBay, tracking or Delivery Confirmation numbers automatically appear in the buyer's "Won" section in my eBay.)

-- You can also confirm delivery by providing the feedback you have received from buyers.

- Address any outstanding concerns from buyers who have opened cases against you through eBay.

-- Visit the eBay Request and disputes page: https://www.ebay.com/sh/resolutions

-- You may need to sign into your eBay account before proceeding. In the Request and disputes page you will find information on resolving problems with your buyer.

Once these requirements have been met, please reply to this email and we'll begin the appeal process. Also, please be aware that we may ask you to provide additional information to appeal this restriction."

Am I mistaken or should they already have this information?? We use Shipstation and all of our tracking is uploaded immediately to Ebay's website. Are they asking me to do the job that we pay them to do?

I have 3 stores with Ebay. They are all Top Rated!! I pay Ebay approximately $400,000 per year to sell on their site.

I called in and spoke with the "Ebay trust and safety" team. They informed me that I have had 53 defects in the last year. They then informed me that they were from "Items not received". Really??? We have checked ALL of our cases and 90% of them have closed without issue because the Customer received their item or we uploaded tracking. Which, I am not sure why we need to re upload tracking when my shipping Company has already done it!!!!

Oh and when i spoke with the "Trust and Safety" team, they are in a foreign country and i could not understand what they were saying. So, the only resolution to fix my account is apparently to completely go inactive on my account until ALL items that have been ordered have been shipped.

I am not sure what to do as they are basically asking me to shut down my business to appease their "Safety" team until all items have been shipped and confirmed delivered.

I guess my question is: Are they trying to force me to use Ebay Shipping? That will never happen as I get great rates elsewhere.

I hope a moderator reads this as the Department that has restricted my account needs to be held accountable for damaging my business!!

That is an impossible task. You sold 32k items.

Lift your left leg at midnight to start off on the right foot. Happy new Year!

Ebay restriction really????

I just checked and you have over 10,000 items still listed and up for sale. That wouldn't happen if you were restricted.

Ebay restriction really????

They threatened to restrict me regularly but never did; I needed a valid email. I made one and wrote it in and they've stopped bothering me.

As for ID, I didn't have any problem there as I had uploaded that a while ago. They have my bank account, ID isn't much of anything. My Physical Therapist has a copy of my ID.

Ebay restriction really????

Ya, it is ridiculous. Also, why am I paying them? They should be automatically uploading all tracking. We use Shipstation and it is all automated.

Yes. If you read this board you will find hundreds of posts about it.

Ebay restriction really????

Shipped out 40 items and I am a brand new seller and I bought every single shipping label from eBay and then they did exactly the same thing you were talking about to me, except when they restricted my account less than 10 hours later, all 30 items had already been shipped and delivered and had zero problems and now it's been 30 days later and they just keep telling me to call them back every three days and that if I don't get a response that they will escalate the case and I've called them back every three days and none of them will escalate the case or do anything to help they just keep telling me to wait three days and respond to the email and treating me like a four-year-old telling me that I probably didn't reply to the email correctly and all I need to do is wait another 24 to 72 hours and every time I say that it's been 30 days and that I've done it every three days they don't even want to hear it good they just hang up on me in the on the phone disconnect on the chat I can't get nobody to do anything. I sold all my childhood collectibles so I could pay rent this month and instead of paying rent I'm getting evicted because eBay decided to keep my $3000 worth of Warhammer and out of that they're only paying 800 bucks. And they decided to keep that as well until I update the tracking lol that was automatically posted when I bought the shipping labels I went above and beyond and even did two day priority shipping for every single person 37 items in two days by myself packing collectibles, and the second that I was going to get my pay out it was literally in progress and trying to hit my bank and they blocked it and then on top of that when I ask what else I need to do the guy told me that somebody logged into my account from a VPN and that I need to wait five more days three weeks later and it's just another three days. I need to wait except today they said that they were going to resend me the email so I need to wait three days till the email gets to me respond to the email. Again letting them know that the tracking was always posted and shipped a month ago zero problems and then wait three more days for a response. It's gonna be five weeks of this three days thing. It's like their favorite rebuttal you need to wait 72 hours even if you waited 72 weeks this time it'll be for sure three more days even though I'm not going to write anything down or let anybody know that you're in a glitch. My favorite thing is that most of them will tell me that every single person has to go through this and when I say every persons gotta wait a month, even though you say three days, every person goes through this, and they assured me that every new seller hast to fork out $3000 in product and then wait several weeks until we decide that we're going to pay you a single penny especially since you did so well of getting all those orders out in two days as a first time seller we're going to really punish you first off we want $1600 in fees all the items in auction that were sold when we hit the restriction we're gonna take that other $200 in promotional fees even though we deleted your sold items and then we're gonna take another 50% and why we got that 50%. We're gonna let you stare at your 32% share for a month or two and not till. Tell anybody about it it's just a secret team only the secret restriction team can unrestricted your account. Nobody knows who they are nobody can talk to them. They just read emails and judge your entire business livelihood and financials in a quiet room, where the judge jury and executioner, and you'll never get to talk to them and get an answer, but you're completely at the mercy of the restriction team, who is anonymous and can shut you down for tracking even know you bought all the labels directly from eBay eBay, and out of the $3300 that it said I made I need to be happy of the $700 that they're going to give me one of these days even though they said they only charge 13% not sure how that works pretty sure they charge about 70% and then make about 15% more from the shipping and then they hold your money for a couple months so they can make some more money off the interest of holding your money for several days there is a bank. That's the whole idea. They know that when somebody has money all they Gotta do is hit them with the restriction and they get this make money off of your money that they're holding from you for as long as they want they literally took every single penny, and now are profiting and making interest off of my money and there's nobody in the world you can call or talk to you and negotiate with you just gotta wait three days for three days and then in three days you might get three days and then maybe in three days or three months you can get your three dollars out of the 3300. And be happy with it and then at the end of the year you can pay the taxes on the $3300 that we stole. It's like I gotta pay the taxes on the money you're taking from me you say that I made $3300 yet the net is only 750 that way you don't have to pay the taxes so by the time it's all said and done I sold my life collection only to be evicted. Because IB 👁?️ told me three days and now my landlord thinks I'm bull**bleep**ting
