As the title states, I sold an item and provided registered sh to the US. I filled the form with the tracking number and marked as shipped. They item is in transit to the US at the moment but ebay gave a full refund to the seller. Ebay is working more and more against us sellers. I do not have the item nor the payment for it and the tracking number I provided was not even taken into consideretion by ebay. This is purely stealing and I will stop using ebay and make this public.

I agree completely. eBay seems to automatically side with the buyer if he claims he hasn't received a purchase even when the USPS tracking shows it was delivered. I sold an expensive item, $1200, on March 18 with insurance and signature requirement. According to USPS tracking, the package arrived at the buyer's Post Office on March 23 and was notified it was ready for pickup. For some reason the buyer did not pick up the package and instead filed a claim with eBay on April 6, and asked for a refund. Both the buyer and eBay had the correct USPS tracking # which showed that the item was ready for pickup. On April 14, the buyer finally picked up the package. but eBay went ahead anyway and refunded the buyer on April 22. Because of eBay's actions the buyer now has the $1200 item and my money. This is outrageous.

I need help will I pretty much had the same thing happen to me, the tracking never updated until after the buyer got a refund, and now the item is still being shipped to the buyer, I did email the buyer and tell him this, and he said tell ebay that you gave me a refund. The case was closed he got the refund, what should I do, if the buyer does get the item and tells me to deal with ebay and I am out 600 dollars. Any help

Had this happen to me a couple of months ago. Thankfully the seller gave me my money back after i contacted him, but that was not an easy thing to do considering that we can't send email adresses via the messages which is a pre-requisite for using paypal so i had to make a separate listing just for the seller where he could "buy" it. It was him that suggested this solution. Quite the hassle, but that is ebay for you.. being so paranoid about off-site sales that we can't even do what is right anymore.

This has always been a problem on eBay but has only been exacerbated by the problems with the delivery services, especially USPS. The Christmas holiday season was a disaster with regards to the number of INR cases and premature buyer refunds.
Ebay continually thinks they own or are a part of the shipping process (visions of gradeur) when they are presenting the buyers with expected delivery dates when in fact they have no involvement what so ever in that business. Apparently neither their programmers or their customer support have the skill set to interface with the tracking systems of the various logistical companies to deny the INR case if the package is still in transit. Ironic since I can easily do that with any tracking number. Putting the funds on hold while the buyer and seller resolve any protracted delivery issues is one thing but automatic refunds are simply wrong and it just opens another door for the scammers who know how to work this process.

When the item FINALLY arrives you will get repaid. 😁

As a long time Ebay Seller I acknowledge all there suggestions for sellers. But as a recent complaining buyer in an international purchase my money was refunded by Ebay. I wrote the seller and told him that I really wanted the item and would not keep the money, so when it arrived weeks later I weeks I wrote seller a long Ebay message that said I would like to repay him via Ebay so we'd both remain in Ebay's good graces.I've been on both sides of this issue but there's no way (except by telling Ebay in a message to seller what happened). Ebay needs to reopen the case which only a seller can do.I'm now between a rock and a hard place waiting for something to pop.I won't send funds directly to seller.
