What could possibly go wrong here? Item was listed for ###, buyer offered about 25% of that, I last offered around 66% of the original price, he offered 50% off and I declined. Now ebay thinks he's interested so they give me an anonymous offer to send. He accepts for 20% off? Umm...This has trouble written all over it. There's no way he accidentally agreed. Why doesn't ebay either filter these out or at least tell us if we've sent offers before? I would highly doubt if he pays and if he does, what then? worry too much? Well if something doesn't make sense, yes. could he have thought i was agreeing to his last offer which was $30 less? 4 day wait? I definitely don't want to get into sending discounts preorder now. Ebay needs to start trusting experienced sellers more. don't they realize we know buyers are trained to want to only buy on their site? I mean surely facebook would work better with no commission? Good luck. I would have never send the offer if I had already done a back and forth.

Sellers may mistakenly think that accepting a Best Offer etches the price into stone. Unfortunately, after the sale, buyers will pursue further discounts. They will find a flaw to get a partial refund. Claim the box was empty to get a full refund.

Instead, wait a little longer for a motivated buyer to click on the Buy-It-Now price. Otherwise, accept a trivial discount through best offer.

It is in the sellers best interest to decline low ball offers and place the would be buyer on their blocked bidder list.

We're past that stage. We're at the he hasn't paid for it stage and yes I am aware of extortion schemes after the sale. That's my main point. I would have never sent this last offer. Keep in mind once we started going back and forth I can no longer block him. Ebay should allow sellers to block at any stage but they don't. I was hoping ebay bumped my item and a new buyer took interest but I'm in the dark.
