Ebay new message system - how to edit folders?

How do I add / delete / rename message folders in the new version?

since We can no longer switch back to classic view

Just noticed this, this morning.  We can no longer create folders, we cannot rename folders we had, we cannot delete folders we have, AND, the folders we had are now EMPTY.  This is what eBay calls "new improved messaging"?????  This is what happens when eBay uses "script bunnies" instead of "programmers".  I am disappointed in eBay that with all the high fees we pay, this is is the best they can do with "new improved messaging"???

I'm writing this a month later than the last post and I can't edit folders either. This has been going on for a loooooong time! Any solution yet?

eBay has been updating features on the new message system consistently (I see changes every week or two), but they have not made it to folders yet @sfrol-49 .

Still cannot edit or delete folders.    It would helpful to bring back the "important" or star designation too.    I do like the new SMS style of communication,  but I miss all the email style tools.

That only appears if you don't already have the limit of 5 folders, which I'm assuming is everyone's issue.

However, once you have 5 of them I see now way to edit them in any way.

I get the impression that whichever contract programmer they had hired for the job had already wandered off to another project before someone noticed the glaring oversights: once you create a new folder, there is no mechanism to delete or modify it, even for something as innocuous as a misspelling in the folder name.

Create/Edit/Delete is a basic group of three operations in any programming work. It appears that someone got the Create process written, then went off to lunch and never came back.

Posting this on Monday, Oct 20, 2025.....OK, I've been selling on ebay for over 20 years. This problem (can't edit or delete folders in messaging) has been going on for over a year I think.  What's the story ANYONE at ebay that reads this...or maybe that's asking for something that isn't even done.

Giving this a November '25 bump almost a year of this now and it's really annoying to not be able to organise mail and wastes time scrolling through an ever growing inbox - that's time we could be earning money for eBay - this is not a difficult fix for a global e-commerce company surely?
