Hi, recently my items have stopped being promoted by ebay and I don't know why. I went from 1 million promoted impressions to near 0. views also fell from 1000s to zero aswell. did anyone else ever have this issue and is there anyway to fix this? my items also do not show the sponsored tag when i search for them in search

What percentage rate do you have your items promoted at? I heard that there's a new rule that they have to be promoted at least at 2%. That is the only reason I could think of why this could happen....especially if it was recently.

My Guess?

For 20 listings and 18 items sold past 90 days; that graph was OFF by 1,000,000 (glitch) as there is no way you were getting anywhere near that number of impressions.

But, know that an 'impression' just means that it is one of 5,000,000 pages on page 4,999,555 when anyone clicks on 'sportscards'.

VIEWS is when someone actually 'clicks' on an item and is, at least, a better measureable of 'how often' your item is being seen and ACTUALLY VIEWED.

I would guess most of the items are no longer promoted.......i.e. you put an end date in as of June7 for most, not all, because one or very few are still promoted.......

The 2% minimum doesn't go into effect until July........

this is true, but does not go into effect until July 11

Your actual sales are really healthy - a lot healthier than mine as a percentage of listings. Out of the 18 sales you have had in the last 90 days, 17 of them are in June, and your latest sale was for a total of $50 just yesterday the 14th. That's pretty good. So I wouldn't be too concerned about the impressions and views. If you are really that concerned especially about the more important views, perhaps it has to do with the % rate at which you are promoting. Only you know.

There is also a possibility that with eBay's constant tinkering and rollout of changes to "improve" things that have been working just fine, they could be once again shooting themselves in the foot by their unwise program of "change only for the sake of change".

We've got to roll with the punches if we want to be on top of these "changes" and "improvements" and continue making sales regardless of the metrics graphs.

it's a glitch in the system, when this happens, flatlining, the instance where promoted listings drop down and run current to organic, it means something in the campaign glitched and you need to end the campaign, wait a bit (like a day) and then create a new campaign, your graph will then go back to "normal" stats where promoted should be much higher then the organic.

not sure where you see 18 sales only? I have over 300 sales in my 90 day total I see on my end. When I was at 1 million impressions I got 18 sales to 20 sales those days.

i recently restarted my campaign and went from 0 to around a 600 a day so improvement but not what I want

I don't know where you are seeing the 18 sales only. On my end I was getting 18 a day when I had 1 million impressions. My current 90 day sales total says i have 339 sales. Idk what happened but I went from 1 million and 20 sales a day to 3 sales a day and around 100 promoted impressions

I simply looked at your sales under your posting ID, which is publicly available. Perhaps you have another account that your graph is referencing.

It's good news to hear that you restarted your campaign and see an immediate improvement. I think I may check into my own promoted listings and maybe restart them in light of your current better results... I'm not sure, though, as I have just under 2 million listing impressions and my views are up about 15%.

I've been using PL's since they started, helped a lot of people get their PL stats back up, the reason it's happening is like I said, a glitch occurred in your current campaign and the only way to fix it is to end the campaign and start a new one. There isn't way to fix it otherwise, we don't have any "tools" to do so, neither does ebay (so calling them won't fix it either). There are many reasons a campaign can glitch, they usually occur when ebay makes changes to the PL's (that's why after quarterly updates that touch PL's sellers have issues with their stats) - the most current change to PL's is directed from ebay's change of how they count views on listings, this in turn affected a percentage of PL campaigns. Looking at your graph your it's been since at least May 16th this issued occurred, around the time ebay made changes to view counts. If you already ended and started a new one, and the same is happening, it maybe cause you didn't wait awhile til created a new campaign. Need to wait like a day before doing it, takes time for ebays system to clear the old campaign you ran. Other issues to reasons for lower then normal stats can be due to the fact you don't have many listings and thus your not adding new listings daily - that in itself will lower stats, ebay favors constant activity. Changes to category your listing in and/or a lot of competition in particular category when competitors are electing higher PLS rates then you are.... like said many factors can be at play.

I started the new campaign a few days ago and have seen small results. I get over 1000 views a day with only 20 items (multi quantity listings). I averaged 3000 when my promoted was working. Not sure what else to do. Should I reset again and wait or just wait a few more days as it is.

It is on this account that I have all the sales. My account had a mc011 recently because I had such a high sales volume. Only lasted about 2 days but would that be the cause of this issue? and is there any way to change that?
