Dear ebay:

I would like to change my monthly store subscription to "Best offer" please and thank-you.

Let me explain briefly.

1. This will allow me 4 to 30 days (depending on your choice) for me to make a payment and receive my goods (seriously, when are you going to make ALL offers prepaid? I mean really....the other selling sites made in the past few years have it, why not you?! Or allow us to have a 24 hour payment needed at the least?).

2. I can send you a message stating "Sorry, I would like to cancel, my (insert dog, kid, parakeet) ordered this without my consent" or "I lost my (credit card, debit card) and haven't replaced it yet", or even "I don't get paid for 8 days, but I sent an offer on something I obviously shouldn't buy if I am paycheck to paycheck". Haters gonna hate on that last one, see below comments!

3. My store numbers have been declining across the board for about 6 months now. I know, my fault. However, with promoted listings I am still selling less, paying you more % per item sold, and have a lower sell through rate because more sellers that are looking for comp prices see my listings than buyers. So allow me best offers on my monthly store fees plz.

4. And last but not least, if you read this far, watch all the other Karen or Kevin sellers say I am 100% wrong, I am listing wrong items, taking bad pictures, pricing too high, or a gamut of other things. For those who see humor in this, glad I made you smile today! Happy Heart day to all!

If you are going to pre-insult anyone who may have a different opinion than you, that may limit the quality of your responses.

Best of luck as you move to whatever 'other selling platform' that seems to already have these things.

I do sell on multiple other sites, so there's that as well. I started with ebay and for the most part like them...just not sure why they aren't changing with the times as quick as they say they will.

And FYI, I welcome all and any quality of responses! That's why I post here randomly. To complain mostly, but to allow others to read and see they aren't the only ones with issues.

When eBay was on fire, there was no competition. Buyers have a plethora of places to shop now.

There is also much more competition from other sellers.

It looks like you sell clothing and cards. Both of which have had thousands of sellers start up and do the same.

I just searched one of your cards. There are over 3400 listings for the same one. "X" many years ago that was not the case. You are now competing against all of those other listings.

Times have changed, sellers need to change as well. Maybe branching out and adding different stuff might help.
