Hi, I was just wondering if this is normal. I sold a $5000+ dollar camera on ebay a couple days ago, shipped it yesterday and today my account was suspended just before payout! I have sold a couple of $2000+ items before and they just held the funds for 30 days. I could still sell other items without issue.
Had anyone had this happen before? Should I be concerned and reroute my camera back to me?
PLMK
Thanks,
JM

Thanks,
JM
Haven't ever had to supply the info..........but what I would do is screen shot the "paid/shipped" page/s in Seller hub.........that shows the tracking # as well as the delivered status.......

Contact ebay for business on Facebook and ask them why? They may just need to verify your identity and ask you a few questions. Same thing happened to my son after being new and selling a expensive item. His account was restored within 2 days. I wouldn't cancel the shipment just yet.

They expect you to send that information. Not that it is on eBay: Different group that is investigating you.
AND they are investigating YOU.
Give them the information they want. You agree to this with your user agreement for eBay and the payment system.
Oh and trigger was the Apple as well as anything over $1000.00.
Of course any VERO take downs may also be involved. Claims of fake etc...delayed or non receipt of items, returns and so no....all come into effect.

UPDATE: My account is still suspended. I had to deal with a buyer that opened a PayPal claim after refusing to pick up their package. Just talked to a rep and they said my account will be reviewed and I'll recieve a decision within 72hours... I'll keep ya'll upto date if anything happens.

I read the selling board quite a bit.
There seems to be a lot of this going on...
Ebay suspending sellers account for no reason at all.

I sent the shipped/delivered info a week ago. Still haven't recieved a reply.

The camera was delivered and the buyer left positive feedback already. It's been going on 3 weeks and my account is still revoked and I haven't been paid. Ebay is holding over 6k in my funds from items sold.

Yeah, it's insane that ebay treats their sellers like garbage. I guess they are no longer focused on mom and pop businesses and are actively trying to dissuade new sellers from using their platform! As crazy as it sounds there might be some truth in it...

It is definitely crazy that eBay will allow a seller to list such expensive items when there is a good chance they won’t pay out because it looks fishy-AFTER the sale.
At least they’ve stopped you from listing anything else.
While 6k is a lot of money, it’s not the most I’ve seen reportedly held by ebay/Adyen here on the boards.
Best of luck going forward.

Ebay told the Seller to ship. Then they keep the money. The unclaimed funds tactic is lame. The USPS is using a similar tactic for counterfeit stamps - they will consider all mail used with those stamps (in their judgement) as abandoned, and destroy it.
Technology seems to be breeding a callousness to the customer!

Nope, never got my funds. Originally ebay reps told me that I would have my funds 60 days after my initial suspension. Now they are telling me 60-72 days after my account was permanently suspended (Jan 28th)
So I am still skeptically waiting for ebay to do the right thing after putting me(and so many others) through the wringer.
I will keep you updated.

Whats lame is they waited until after I shipped the camera before suspending my account. The buyer of said camera was happy with their purchase and promptly left positive feedback.
If having expensive items is a problem on their platform, they shouldn't even allow them to be listed in the first place. Only reason I sold me beloved Leica Camera was cause I was hit by a car and couldn't work my regular job at UPS because of back pain and consequently couldn't pay rent! Luckily I was able to take out a loan. I've Stayed afloat so far no thanks to f'n ebay.
