Ebay Store Categories have disappeared!

So, just clicked on my store and all of the categories have disappeared. Cleared all of the cookies, signed out, looked at my store and what I have now is a "mess" of over 200 items each without a category. Anything like this happening to anyone else.

Hopefully just a temporary glitch as my store has also lost all its categories.

Probably a temporary glitch. (Look at one of your listings, the categories may still be there, just not on your store home page.) I believe they said today at ebay Open that they are rolling out some new store deign elements today, my guess is the roll out is glitchy. I'm going to give it a couple days to see what happens.

Same here, over 800 items - it looks AWFUL.  Yes, I'm yelling, because this looks really terrible, how are customers supposed to find anything??  It better be a glitch, otherwise I imagine that ebay will have a bit of a revolt on its hands.

But it's one less thing to worry about, most of my listings were all in the same category anyway, this just makes it so much easier.

Many sellers experiencing this - no answers yet.  Technical board has multiple threads, so does this one, and I saw the same problem posted on a couple other boards too.  Store categories show up on listings but not store front page.   I tried john@ebay 's advice.      Unfortunately it did not work.  I logged out and back in, cleared history, cache, cookies, tried and looked again, still no solution, but I wanted to share it in case you wanted to try it on your own stores.  Maybe it will work for you.  

Toggle the store categories off and back on:

1. Go to https://www.ebay.com/sh/str/edit
2. At the bottom of the page, under Category Preference, select eBay Categories
3. Click the blue 'Publish' button
4. Repeat the above steps, instead selecting Store Categories this time

Its the ship of fools running aground again. Ebay keeps reinventing the wheel , because the new IT engineers do not know how to read the old code so they just write new code and call them upgrades. What we had worked and the fools in SJ just CANT GET RIGHT.

I came here to the Message Board for THIS EXACT REASON !!
No categories shown. But still gives the option to pick one when listing, so I also assume it's a glitch. I hope it's a SHORT LIVED glitch. Peace!!

It's like alphabet soup in there.

Let's hope this gets corrected soon.  Buyers probably aren't very motivated to play Where's Waldo!!

My workaround till they get this fixed: Manage Store>Edit Store>choose ebay categories instead of store categories. I was planning on revamping my store categories anyway, so for now I'll just use the ebay categories.

   This is what happens when too many brainiacs decide to stick their fingers in the pie.

   Ebay 's going to have to STOP TINKERING with things that work just fine, and buyers as well as sellers need in order to rely on for a smooth search operation of the site.

   I have hundreds of buyers that have earmarked my store, with currently over 700 items that are fully and conveniently organized in store categories and subcategories just for them and anyone else who wants to visit it. Now I have to tap my fingers and hope that someone at eBay reverses the process and fixes it.

   The "workaround" does not work.
