Hi i have this person make offer on a item and i accepted .
I tested it and it worked good .They sent a immediate return upon recieving .
I started to look at their feedback. And then their feedback for others.
This is a big scammer and has been doing it to many other people . And leaving them negatives .
I feel so bad for all thos other sellers. How does ebay keep alllowing this. This person is a obvious big tiem scammer .Its hard to tell how many people are victims as some leave automatic feedback . Im not a expert on this and what are the exact steps .
They have just opened a false return tryign to get me pay return shipping . Looks like they are also sending many sellers garabage back and junk instead of their items .

I agree but they do it because they have no recourse. Mail Fraud is not prosecuted. That was exactly my point. You adapt or leave, because no one in the last decade has figured out how to stop SNAD scams.
And suggesting we get a postal employee to take time out of his day in the mistaken belief that he will someday be a "witness" on our behalf just slows down the line at the counter for everyone else.
I understand what you are saying but part of the Post Offices job is mail fraud. They have a whole mail fraud division. There is no other agency that can do anything about. It is not eBays job to police the Post Office. This fraud happens over and over because people know there is no one going to stop them. Just because the Post Office is big doesn't mean they should just neglect mail fraud. I am saying a few cases and word would circulate and it would stop.
I say the Post Office should do their job.
The USPS does it's job. I don't think you understand what prosecuting fraud requires. You need evidence, not the word of a seller and a picture on the internet.
I am sorry I forgot there was a few people who work at the Post Office on here.
In the United States, mail and wire fraud is any fraudulent scheme to intentionally deprive another of property or honest services via mail or wire communication. It has been a federal crime in the United States since 1872.
This is America where you are innocent until proven guilty. The word of a seller and a picture on the internet isn't evidence. You have to be able to prove fraud before you can bring a lawsuit.
Even the postal police have to have evidence to prosecute.
Apparently you haven't read the thread through.

The 'Make A offer" feature is like chumming for sharks. Your gonna attract bad things sometimes.

SO far the guy has scammed 4 more people on his last sales ive talked them all. Those arent in feedback. It looks like this guy or girl is doign this to about everyone . All are bogus returns . So far everyone ive been able reach. This person needs to be banned soon as possible . And everyone hes cheated refunded and their feedback removed.
So that makes it about 22 people at least hes scammed .

Yes I read it, and apparently you don't understand evidence. None of what was written was evidence.

Unless you are a seller on ebay.

Look at it the way ebay must see it.
That buyer has recently bought at least 22 times. How many times have you bought something on ebay in the same time frame? That is a repeat buyer and ebay wants to not only keep them on ebay - but keep them buying on ebay. So ebay makes sure that buy-uh-scammers have favorable policies to get those refunds (and it looks like ebay is about to change their policies for some cases so the buyer can get their money back even faster) so they can turn around and spend the money on ebay again....and again.....and again.
For ebay, more scammers mean higher sales numbers and more fvfs in their coffers. Why would they do anything about the, after all, ebay is not the one handing out the refunds.

Did you tell them all to report the buyer? The more sellers who report, the better the chance of shutting them down.

Hopefully you have reported the buyer for misusing the MBG and the eBay returns system. The more violations he has, the less buying power he will have, since most experienced sellers will automatically block memebers with four or more policy violations. (Ebay really NEEDAS to change this to TWO, because any mnor e than that would make an seller nervous.
All sellers need to come together to protect each other from scam buyers who repeatedly open false SNAD claims. Ebay cannot remove them if they do not know about them, so we must let them know when someone is scamming!

Hey there, I just wanted to let you know I sent you over an email a moment ago with next steps. Reply there if you have any other questions or concerns!

That's because sellers are not allowed to leave neutral or negative feedback to help warn others. All we can do is either leave no feedback at all or write positive words which may not reflect reality.

Hi trinton i got this email
Basically if im correct telling me i have no choice but to refund the buyer .
I thank you for a resonse .
But this is not about me . Im more concerned about the 25 and more people that have been scammed by this person. And the person has been doing this for a year . Why hasnt there account been locked or frozen till a proper investagation sir ?
Im not trying to be mean but cant you easily see how many returns they have opened . Ive contacted the last 7 sellers and all have returns including mean. All bogus claims . And his feedback has many more . People are terrified to sell large items on ebay because of this exact thing . Id rather ebay froze this thiefs account and in my case id be glad give my false return hes makign toward the long list of victims . This person should be made to repay all the victims ebay should chaarge his Credit Card.
I do all i can for ebay and work very hard and apprericate all you do there .But for what reason are you allowing this person to still scam others and for this long . Why not put a hold or a freeze and just click a few buttons and see the return abuse. Its not normal to return everything . And then in many cases others have left hes sending them junk back or steals soem items etc . The list is long .
Trinton sir this is kind of thing thats harming ebay greatly .As sellers are being scammed at a all time high . And think of all the money you lose because people are afraid to sell valuable items . It just doesnt make sense to allow a thief to victimize all these people . And it jsut took me a few minutes and messages to figure this out .And there you have all the return info sir .

Good news today it looks like the ebay user is no longer a registered user Thats great that ebay took care of this guy it looks like . So no more victims .
I notice my return is still open i never responded . How do i handle that part . Which im just glad he was taken care of . And i hope all victims feedback and other is helped . Thank you ebay for help us sellers .

You should contact trinton and ask that he have CS close the case because the buyer is NARU (no a registered user). Back in the day, that was an auto close for the seller. But now, you can't be sure.
Are the buyers transactions still on the site?
