Re: Ebay Fees

eBay already has over one billion items available.  I do not think we need more items.

Good Luck Selling!

Re: Ebay Fees

Fees here are lower than many places, and you pay for international exposure.

Lowering fees wouldn't encourage good sellers with good items, it would encourage people to list stuff that would sit there and never sell, or utter garbage that would result in unhappy buyers

Re: Ebay Fees

Why not sell at a site that only charges 7%?

a lot of us are happy with the fees here.

Go ahead you can start the strike.

Re: Ebay Fees

Why did you sign up for eBay to begin with?  When you go to McDonalds for a burger, you can't eat it and then get a refund for the wrapper.

"Seller fees are ridiculous need to get these down to 7%"

-----------

I could easily pay eBay 20% fees

and still make good money.

10% is one of the best on eCommerce imo.

Sure beats brick and mortar or flea market costs. (drive, labor, etc)

EBay is more focused on encouraging people to buy because ebay would make even more money.jack_o'lantern

Re: Ebay Fees

Just what Ebay needs, more sellers, and more items listed..theres only thirty million sellers here, with 1.2 billion items listed..yeah, that'll work!

They have already figured out away to make more money without the need to increase the volume of items listed, through their Promoted Listings program. eBay is now making more with what they already have From their perspective this approach is working for them, and will continue to work for them at least for the foreseeable future. I doubt that they are going to stop walking down this path that they have chosen anytime soon.

I sell on other sites that have lower FVF's than what I pay here to eBay. But, I also sell on other sites that have higher FVF's than what I pay here to eBay. I therefore price my items accordingly to fit those other sites so that post sale I net the same amount of profit regardless of which site sells that item.

eBay has transaction and behavior data from millions of sellers and billions of listings going back decades. And no doubt an entire division of people looking at it.

I'm going to humbly suggest that eBay might have better insight into selling dynamics on this site than any single seller on this board does.
