I had my account since 2010 and was used for buying only with 100%positive reviews and yesterday I decided to start selling on Ebay; After posting 10 items on Ebay to be drop shipped, I woke up today in less than 12 hours and saw all my items were delisted. I contacted Ebay to verify my information and gave them all my personal information and told them that I drop ship. Minutes later the rep told me that I'm permanently banned from Ebay with absolutely zero explanation. I am considering filling a lawsuit. There is going to be accountability for Ebay just like there is for Facebook regardless of if they are a private or public company.. Please let me know what you think. The public will be made aware of Ebay's lack of accountability and utter disregard for it's sellers.

Ebay states that it is allowed,
"However, listing an item on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is not allowed on eBay." -Maybe this is it.

Drop Shipping Is Allowed On Ebay

Drop shipping, also known as product sourcing, is when you buy stock from a supplier and work with them to send items directly to your buyers without ever handling them yourself.
Drop shipping, where you fulfill orders directly from a wholesale supplier, is allowed on eBay. Remember though, if you use drop shipping, you're still responsible for the safe delivery of the item within the time frame you stated in your listing, and the buyer's overall satisfaction with their purchase.
However, listing an item on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is not allowed on eBay. In such cases, we may remove your listings from search, display them lower in search results, or remove them completely from the site. We may also limit, restrict or suspend your ability to buy, sell, or use site features on eBay, and you could lose any special status and/or discounts associated with your account.

I think it is good to see that eBay is taking action against drop-shipping ... however, I think you should have been warned first because they just started enforcing it over the last month or so.
You might call up eBay again and politely ask them to reconsider, given that you hadn't gotten a warning AND that eBay had only recently clarified the policy.

When you have an agreement with the people actually selling the items. they must essentially be your suppliers.
You are not allowed to sell here and then turn around and buy from somewhere else.

Bravo to ebay for getting rid of drop shippers.

Are you drop shipping from a wholesale supplier/distributor or are you drop shipping from another retailer?

you want to sue Ebay for enforcing its own policies? Good luck with that.

What would you sue them for? Companies have the right to decide who they want to do business with if it doesn’t violate any laws. You can still sell elsewhere so how would you prove damages?
I dont think any reasonable lawyer would would take that case.

What type of items did you list?
