Hello,
I posted a Guccisima bag for sale that was bought from Nordstrom, brand new, never worn, no dents, no scruffs, no smell inside and outside, no dirt whatever, the bag was kept in a dust bag at all times. In other words, in pristine condition. As the bag is a bit to small, I decided to sell to get another and opted for a "authenticity Guarantee' . We are experienced sellers with over 2700 reviews, all 5 stars, not 1 negative review, accrued over 10 years as sellers and buyers. We are straight shooters. We then ship the brand new Gucci item to EBays Authenticator' to Las Vegas. After a day, we get an email that states the following.
'The exterior material is crushed, creased, or indented, which was not mentioned or shown in the listing; The exterior has more scruffs then listed or shown in the photos; The exterior has more stains then listed or shown in the photos; The interior has more more uncleanliness than listed or shows in the photos; The interior material is crushed, creased or indented which was not mentioned or shown in the listing; The interior has more stains then listed or shown in the photos".
Like I said, this merchandise is in pristine condition, brand new, not crushed, no indents, is very very clean and NON of what the authenticator claims. I have pictures to prove however we forgot to take a picture of the serial number when it was posted for sale. The bag is on its way back but I haven't received the bag yet. Did the Authenticator steal my bag?
I am crushed. I don't know what to do now. Has this happened to anyone? Please help.
Thanks for your all help.

All you can do is wait until you get the item back........and see what it is..........

2nd photo, lower right corner in photo.
Wouldn't bother me, doubt I'd ever notice it, and opening it once may have caused it, or it may have come that way (things get handled before sold).
Then again, I didn't pay $600 for a something like that, and I don't know what the buyers intentions are.
Neither does the "authenticator".
And that may be why.
I sure a lot of complaints about eBay authentication results

Did they include any photos of the damaged bag in addition to the description? I would presume it would be a standard procedure. Just read another post about an expensive bag disappearing in the ebay authentication center, after being delivered there. There are bad people everywhere. It's a possibility someone made a switch. I have no idea, what you co do about it.

The 'authentication' does 2 things.
1.) is it real
2.) does it match the description
Apparently the 'authenticator' saw things you didn't AND/OR they 'confused' your item with another.
BUT- You should NOT have gone as far as calling this thread 'ebay SCAMMED me' as even Nordstroms takes returns and could have (and has happened 100's of times) taken a 'fake' back as a return and then SOLD it to you (or any other unsuspecting buyer)...when you go to resell- it's trash.
Either way, looks like you are getting it back and buyer it being refunded (or you are forced) but either way, unless the item was trashed in shipping- it should/could be a mistake.
As stated by others- you won't know till you get it back.
If all is good, relist, resell.
Sometimes these things happen.

“The bag is on its way back but I haven't received the bag yet. Did the Authenticator steal my bag? ”
My philosophy is to not anticipate problems before one has all the facts. If your bag has been altered or stolen, you have time to react, accuse, and be upset later.

From everything I have seen it happens all the time with no recorse. If I lose 1 sold item that is sent to an authenticator, I'll never sell on Ebay again. In fact I've stop selling high value items on ebay and just sell on social media for the most part. Why involve a 3rd party with sticky fingers?
