I have a store. Every month I modify my listings (including lowering the price) I DO NOT WANT ALL MY LISTINGS "WHICH I AM PAYING FOR !!!@" to automatically relist.

EBAY IS HORRIBLE !

No. I use this ID because I do not OWN the seller ID from which I sell, I am part of a team that manages the store here.
You have no idea what reasons people have for being here under whatever name, and you shouldn't assume to know because you are not entirely, or even remotely, correct in your narrow assumption.

At 30 days, there are some listings already that would not get charged in February, so 31-day durations would not be different, but would apply to more listings in other months as well. eBay could easily adjust listing durations to coincide with the number of days of the month in which the listing was started, if they wanted to. I suspect that eBay prefers to leave it all as is since that will generate more revenue for them, to the dismay of some sellers who are surprised by the additional fees. Hopefully some accommodation can be reached to avoid that.

List more, sell more. Goodwill that other, uh, stuff.

And those "lots of people" would be wrong. Ebay is merely doing what every other site does. Please provide an actual legal precedent for suing Ebay. I'm afraid "whiney pants folks don't like it" wont hold up in court.

As far as hoping eBay will walk back this change, this question came up at Chat today. One of the Blues stated in today's Chat that eBay has no plans to rescind this change.

Well, good luck, with THAT, "letting eBay know what we think"....I've called eBay TWICE, now, in the past few days (a 35 minute call the first time, and a 30 minute call, the second time), and they absolutely do NOT care if sellers are unhappy with the new 30-day, or GTC policy. Further, when I mentioned that I thought that I did NOT get my money's worth out of this month's eBay Store, after using only 51 of my 250 so-called "free" listings, and that I thought that I was getting ripped off, well, you can imagine that they definitely did NOT like that. So, when I said that I would probably be ending my eBay Store soon, I was more or less "invited" to close it;...BUT, that if I DID close it, I would be subject to a hefty Early Termination Penalty, for do so. So, isn't THAT just "peachy"? You don't get what you pay for, for $21.95 per month, and THEN they're going to sock it to you some more, if you even TRY to get out from under their tyranny?! And, no, I do NOT mind sharing my eBay ID...it's 'earthangel57', and I've been (or, had been) on eBay for 19 years, next month..

The point is, a seller should have the right to choose if they would like to relist an item. If we are to pay for it to be relisted we should be given the choice. That decision is no longer even an option.

YOU DO! I think what they are taking from you is the option to leave listings running in which there is no actual item to sell. When my stock hits zero (and that is ALL of them because I usually on have one vintage item) I delete the listing OR list something else in its place. Store or no store, I don't pay for listing NOTHING.

And I'm juggling inventory across multiple sites - removing the sold one here, adding new over there and over there, etc.

And as a buyer RIGHT NOW I get mega torqued when a search shows me 20 listings for jeans in my size only to find that the 15 multivariations IN MY SIZE are actually sold out/zero in stock!

All my listings are QUANTITY = 1. Each item is individual. I want to list whichever items I want to without Ebay relisting them for me.

QTC requires me to end my items early.

Answer...I get charged a monthly fee for my store even if I do not list.

To all sellers that Hate the GTC listings, email ebay and tell them this is a horrible change. I have called every day to make sure this does not end, MY voice will be heard. Email like crazy. On your ebay page there is a tell us what you think link, tell them what you think!

I'm not sure the courts will not look favorably if your only argument is "I don't like it".

Void Versus Voidable Contract

What Is a Void Agreement?

A void agreement means that the consensus between two parties isn't legally binding. When an agreement becomes void, it can no longer be enforced by law and loses its legally binding nature.
