What is ebay going to do about this fiasco. It's unbelievable how sales just dropped off overnight a few weeks ago, and they have not gotten any better. I've been very successful here on ebay over the years, always have been one to just sit back and accept the changes, but it's very clear that everything is broken with this site. Too many issues to even start naming them, but my biggest one is that of my close to 1500 listings, in a 24 hour period, by their chart, and the views my listings are getting, i'm averaging 300 views a day on all my listings, that means that only 1/5 of my listings are even being looked at each day which is just pathetic. It's never been like this, and sales are just horrible. This is clearly an ebay problem, And not some **bleep** economy related issue. This has never happened in 20 years for me on here, and i've never been one to come here and complain at all, but something has to be done.

It's not the economy. I have a dedicated eCommerce web site selling unrelated goods to what I sell on eBay, but which are also discretionary goods that nobody needs (but they may want). My sales haven't fallen at all...in-fact, they continue to rise.
It's not indexing either. Stop making silly excuses for eBay. I've been on eBay since 1998 and have been around for A LOT of the changes over the years. Right now, it's definitely broken.
I ended my listings for several thousand items. If they don't fix it and remove the rule about watermarks on photos so I can re-list my actual photos that I'm trying to sell, I'll go build another eCommerce web site.

What is your problem? I've been selling for 22.5 years on this platform and at a high level for most of that time. At least 15% of my 4000+ listings cannot be searched by Buyers. Most of the listings can't be searched by just the part number or model number . However on Seller Hub I can search by P/N or model and all comes up no problem. So for a good while we have been adjusting inventory up or down no problem. However all that may want to buy can't find it. We are down 60% on eBay since 9/21. Historically in our category when the economy is bad we do very well like double sales. So when Seller say it is the platform, it is. How you can continue to support a search engine that can't find items by their part number of model number. Its criminal.
Currently we have to go to Google using the part number of an item only and it comes up right away. We copy the complete title and paste it into the eBay search bar. Now all the people that have that item appear. Can't just put the part number in the eBay search bar and have that happen. We are on 4 other platforms and all of those find parts just like Google. Why won't eBay just let Google do all of the search for the platform. We would all make more money.

Hi @**selling**stuff** This is a long thread and I haven't read it because of that, so I hope I'm not repeating what's already been said, but... eBay listings do not show up in Google searches the way they used to. There's nothing you can do about that. But if you don't already, you can cross-promote your eBay listings and increase their visibility that way. You can cross-promote your eBay listings on social media and any other site you can get your hands on. If you don't do that yet, look into it. You may be pleasantly surprised at how simple and fun it can be. Here's to you as the next YouTube star! Good luck!

Would you care to share just ONE with us?

Ebay definitely throttled my listings today, worst sale day of the month, this is starting to disgust me, ebay needs to fix this crap. I've worked too hard to get to this point with my store and sourcing, it's really sad how you can have steady sales all year long, and boon, they make all of these **bleep** changes, and its affected my store horribly. And it literally happened overnight a few weeks ago..I dont know exactly what changed, but you don't have to be a rocket scientist to see the huge decline. This is the time when things should be selling.. I had a whopping 200 views in 24 hours today..absolutely pathetic, it's sickening. There's absolutely no way in hell that's all the clicks my listings got, or is it..EBAY IS GOING WAY WAY WAY DOWNHILL, AND FAST.

Although people are hurting due to higher price of goods in the past year or so, I expected that we would see a drop. However, this time I'm going to agree that there is something wrong with eBay. My eBay sales over the past six months have steadily dwindled down to nothing. This past month I only made enough to cover my basic store subscription. That is truly horrifying.
And before everyone jumps in and claims it's the economy, I have made more money in just the past month selling through Facebook than I have the last four months selling on eBay. And my Facebook sales were all local sales. No shipping, and fees.

That's the problem, they show up normally with a Google search, and not on ebay. This has never been an issue until just recently.

I just read the entire thread and if I was a jury member I would say ebay is broken.

As a seller of Mario items and a die hard collector Mario coins, your Mario profile pic is actually the same near identical design of a prototype coin - makes me happy to see lol
Yep trying to weather the storm here as well, Trump2024!

ive been collecting gamecube, ps1, ps2, ps3, ps4, wii, wii u, xbox, xbox 360, and xbox 1 games for over 10 years now, i've got a collection of about 5k games stacked on my bedroom wall.. it's crazy.. i'm fixing to start selling some of the rarer titles here soon.. i've been watching the value just jump on most of them over the years.. i at one point in 1997 had the whole Nintendo Nes collection over 900 titles if i remember correct, I regret to this day ever selling them. I bought 2 Stern pinball machines with the money, i sold them all for 25k dollars back then, and that was good then, but today they would be worth around 500k. which is just absolutely insane, as most of my games were complete in box. So yeah, i've just been holding on to these for awhile.. I'm a huge gamer/collector.

I have to jump back in here. I do not get the search is broken thing because I really have no problem selling my items. its sort of like I dont really care about the search because its too much trouble for me to pinpoint.
they say the proof is in the pudding
seller hub has not been working well for me for at least the last 4 years
for 16 months or so I was not able to send a combined invoice for auctions that had just ended
I am no rookie at that.
this tab, "Orders eligible for combined purchases" has been changed quite a few times in the last12 months.
its finally working again since a few months ago
I get many many repeat buyer and many combined auctions. thats what I do here at ebay
the shortcuts tab is also not too good I have been unable to use the " end a listing " tab for the last year.
it goes right to the kid in the orange coat. "its not you its us" page
shipping is still down as far as I know. I know for sure its not going to work monday
seller hub is crucial to selling on ebay but there are bits an pieces of it that just do not function
if the bits and pieces of seller hub dont function there is always a workaround
there are many workarounds for things at ebay and I know the majority of them
sellers should not be force to use a workaround to shave off 30 seconds time.
seller hub should work the way its supposed to but it does not
if seller hub is not working I woud have to say that parts of the search are also busted.
I cant offer proof of this but I can offer proof of a not so hot seller hub

Trump can fix the search?

I don't think it's the interface
It's the price structure we're forced to have. Couple that with no instant money around and here we are.
Also, an exemple of hidden fees that affects your price structure because you know it's there and you're going to compensate for it:
standard exchange rate: 1.00 Usd = 0.98 Euro
ebays exchange rate: 1.00 Usd = 0.94 Euro
4 cents difference in each $ when they convert it. In a transaction of $100 that's less 4€ for the seller.
YET when you see the listing you see 0.98
Pretty sure someone will find a way to say that's okay and it's all my fault.

Good Morning! I checked out your listings. I see everything you list is Buy it Now. I never list Buy it Now--fixed price. Since I started eBay in 2000 I do auctions on everything. This year has been one of my best years ever. Give auctions a try--you may be surprised. I wish you all the best.
