I recently sold a 51 inch SONY Bravia Plasma Television. I listed this item "Local Pick up only" as the ONLY shipping policy. The EBAY Program changed my shipping policy to $77 Flat RATE Shipping! Lucky for myself AND the buyer they were in New Jersey! I offered and the buyer accepted delivery. So I drove TWO HOURS to the other end of New Jersey, Delivered and helped set up the Television for The buyer, THEN I DROVE TWO HOURS HOME! The Buyer was kind enough to offer me a cash TIP to help me pay for gas and tolls. MY POINT IS EBAY CHANGED MY SHIPPING POLICY WITHOUT MY CONSENT AND WITHOUT ANY NOTIFICATION! Had I been able to ship a 51 inch Television ( I dont have boxes or packing material for that ) It would not have survived delivery/shipping by USPS, UPS or FEDEX! If I had a box that big, the package would not have fit in my CAR! Never, Ever would I ship such an item! It would surely have been BROKEN! Has This type of Fraudulent revision ever been put upon any other Sellers? Please let me know. THIS IS WRONG and it is FRAUDULENT! EBAY Says "Seller is Responsible for the listing". BUT IMPOSES ITS OWN CRITERIA ON MY LISTINGS REGULARLY!!! This is WRONG! IT WILL RESULT IN NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS FOR THE BUYERS AND SELLERS! I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR LISTINGS CORRUPTED BY EBAY's PROGRAM!!!!

There's no need to keep yelling at us. We've all been the victim of eBay site glitches. Have you reported the error to eBay and asked them to file a tech ticket?

I don't know what happened, but the listing shows a choice of flat rate freight and local pickup. There is no revision history.

EBAY Added the Flat Rate shipping to my policy. I made the listing "LOCAL PICK UP ONLY" eBAY's algorithm added flat rate and the BUYER CONFIRMED THAT! Buyer mentioned to me she made the purchase AFTER the flat rate shipping was added. She noted it was added and wondered why I did that... I DIDNT!

They did the same to us. I completely deleted our "Accepts Returns" policy. They auto-accepted a return when I contacted them they admitted there was an error and they ate it. Fast forward to tonight, we get an auto-accepted return! What?! Four items were changed to free returns out of 400 ish. I completely deleted the policy on Oct 8th and have transcripts from the other rep stating an error was made. They are dais added the policy for the four items on October 15th which I never did. Now I am forced to accept it. The buyer lied and here we go. eBay leadership ended the chat because they just kept talking in circles about how I needed to accept all returns.
