I am offically 100% had it.
I got negative feedback for packaging. When everyone else raves about the same thing. Buyer obviously has no idea how free shipping is possible.
Use heavy duty card protectors and no sleeve. My goodness a lack of sleeve it not something to give feedback about! Ebay does % all wonky to drop 1.4% for 2 bad feedback seems weird.
Work so hard and bust my butt hurting myself packaging so nicely much better now, and this is the thanks I get!!!
Now I am sobbing uncontrollably. I can not do this anymore when I get treated like this by buyers!

Having a fraud investigator in the family you learn alot.
Probably fraud. 🤔

0 poster accounts arent selling anything to you on the forums so there is nothing suspicious about it.
But reading your feedback return comments, all have to do with shipping and packaging ( 3 neutral 2 neg ), very confrontational, defensive and show lack of customer service.
One neutral even said they would buy again, your item arrived early, but your only issue is how you packaged it.
But I'm just a 0 feedback poster. Obviously I have no understanding of eBay.

Even if you have free listings you still have to pay a $0.30 plus 13.5% fee on every transaction you sell. If they pay sales tax it also will be a fee on that sales tax.
Keep in mind that $10 in supplies is not going to save you $10 in your taxes for being a write off. You have to multiply it by your tax rate so it might be $1 to $2.50 in savings. You shouldn't see every expense as no big deal because there is a tax write-off for it.
You should really take him up on his offer and look at his YouTube video for valuable information on shipping cards. There's no hurt in always learning more.

Only list using free listings period so less.Envelopes I get dirt cheap. I write out my own labels.
Loaders. Vary but hence cost is tax deductible. So not really an issue.
We did some cost/fee breakdowns in your last post about buyers negging you for packing here;
https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/Buyers-Driving-me-Crazy/m-p/33948034#M2265775
On those $1 items that you said cost $0.36 for postage stamps:
Fees = $0.30 fixed, $0.12 variable (or $0.13 if you have a starter store), $0.36 postage stamp = balance $0.22 (or $0.21) to cover the cost of the item, envelope/packaging, piece of the store subscription fee, and your time spent listing and shipping.
We also established you're losing a lot of money on your media sales, but even though you said you need the money from selling here, you are happy selling at a loss because you can claim it on your taxes.
Putting up this refresher info for people that didn't see your last discussion so efforts aren't duplicated offering the same advice that was posted last time.

This was a theme in the last discussion, as well.
It's not a bad idea to consult with a CPA, ellenshideout, to go over some of this stuff.
In your last discussion you said you have a business degree and don't need any help with finances and spreadsheets, but based on your consistent posts implying tax write-offs will cancel out any loss, it could benefit you to learn more about the true financial impact of those write-offs from a tax professional.

I am quite civil in my replies not sure what you mean. I state the FACTS of the situation so people know what really happened. Wish we could still leave negatives for buyers took away a good tool to warn sellers about malcious buyers whom leave feedback that is inaccurate.

I go purely by list I found of fully tax deductible things: From a website giving this advice.

I do pack really well. Some buyers you could wrap in iron and would complain.
Now my ulcer is acting up from lack of sales none in almost 24 hours, nearly having a panic attack!
08-29-2023 02:14 PM
The only thing you did for me in those replies is show me a seller who doesn't want to change and improve. Stubborn and stuck in their own ways.
Tells me to avoid. Might get damaged item and seller doesn't want to accept accoubtility.
Just because YOU think your replies are okay, doesn't mean it's not off putting to buyers.

Packing materials and items you sell at a loss are tax deductible in most cases, but the point is it does not cancel out at the same financial value of the loss.
I will repeat my advice to consult with a tax professional.

If my ulcer acted up every time I had no sales in 24 hours, I would have been dead years ago. But thanks for the tip on writing off the laundry I do as a business expense, as I wouldn't want to sit around selling stuff on eBay in stinky clothes.

In your last discussion it came to light the boxes you're using to ship cassettes will not offer adequate protection.
In this discussion it came up that you're shipping trading cards in top loaders and skipping the penny sleeves. Others have posted how top loaders by themselves can damage cards and it's better to ship in a penny sleeve without a top loader, using some card stock to sandwich the sleeved item instead of the top loader.

I have changed and improved so please do not make assumptions.
Cards have been an issue until yesterday and sent many on the 3 accounts I mail for the same way. Still confounded on that one. As my buyers rave my method. Do accept accountability big difference between that and replying with facts. All were false feedback and reported to eBay whom says to report anyone whom does.
Others have changed how I ship things so do not say otherwise please. Have spent a lot of money on better boxes bubble wrap and more filler.

Even bought small bubble thingies that you put small items in to protect.
